since the new "3 week elections" went into place, I've been noticing that every time my mayor character registers himself for re-election, he immediately has 1 vote already in his favor without having to cast a vote
hrm, I've been voting for myself, and I can't check right now since I'm in the middle of a voting cycle... I'll check on that later
When I transfered Mayor from my alt to me I was unable to get the mayor to vote for me, until he dropped out of the race. It was almost like he was forced to vote for himself. Don't know if this only applies to justincumbant mayors tho.

this is TRUE, the game assumes that since you are running you are not going to vote against yourself
