Yeah I agree 9 lots more than makes upfor it.

The other thing I want to say to you is if you don't like changing you template let someone else be mayor no one forced you to do it. I guess they should not count those poilitician skill points just so you can pursue jedi with your holos as well.

I read 9 lots to give up to be PA leader. This can be worked around. As i'm the mayor of a village (even can't register it) and i'm also a high council member of our PA (yes an organized one). At the moment our PA leader own the guildhall, but he is fighter/medic. So what care has he of the lots? He don't need harvesters, also don't need factories. A house? He just live at the guild hall. So if you come and tell me the 9 lots woulds cover the cost, get away from me.

But on the other hand what are the benefits of being PA leader? You just get guildchat and the flag next to the members name. The title? what use is it? Only has purpose inside the PA. It adds some roleplay chance in the game with that.

Now what has apolitician that has benefits of becomming it? You can run for mayor, YEEEAH. Once mayore you live at the city hall and it don't take lots. For the rest the skillpoints investements aren't worth it most of the time. I still gonna master politician, but this is just I'm looking to be the most unussable person in the game, just got it for the sake of roleplay. IMO being mayor or PA leader is mostely the same at the point of roleplay, you run a city or you run a PA. Both are a group of players.

Making a profession from the PA leader i find an idea that is indeed rediculous, but the 77sp you need to master politician i find rediculous also. Why does it take 77sp when every other advanced profession only needs 63sp. And I wan't something back for those sp, and i'm not meaning useless city specialization that cost lots of money to obtain. Or placing mission terminals, what should be changed a bit. Just got that skill to place them and find it a pain for placing them (no /move available).

These where my opinions, I can write down more but i'm at work at the moment and my lunch break is running out already andI need to get back to work.

Using skill points does not make someone a good mayor - they may be an absent mayor, they may be an uneducated mayor (meaning they dont read the boards or the manual on cities and have not a clue as to which tree to climb up). I have found that the mayor that does well tends to have an informed city council helping them make decisions.

But working up a skill tree doesn't make someone a better mayor.

LOL I dont know too much about PA's except Im in one,

But can't a Guild leader kick someone out of the guild?

Why can't a Mayor kick a citizen out of his town?

Hmmm?

Lol, alright, who resurrected this old troll post?

For the record, I don't belive that PA leaders should have to have their own profession, but I also believe its dumb for mayors to have to use skill points. The fact that I was being facetious seemed to go over everyone's head and all the PA leaders got up in arms (relax guys).

My point is, that being a leader in the game should not require you to follow some specific skill template. Leadership should come because of the person behind the keyboard not because someone has managed to fill in a few skill boxes with XP.

Ok, so organizing a group of friends to sit around in a big bar (PA hall) that you own requires public speaking skills how? We are politicians we actually do something unique if elected mayor. What do we PA leaders get to do that's unique? Live in a large underfurnished home, use a chatchannel, create "ranks" (if your a structured guild) and have a little tag by our name. Whoo, boy that is so much better then being able to collect taxes or clone.

If you treat your guild like this... Or run your guild like this.....

Well im constantly puting effort into my guild with events... newspaper articals exct... I actually think a profesion would be kind of cool if they added more things that Leaders can do.

Is 2 months and a week technically a necro? I mean I always thought it had to be at least past the 3 month mark in order for it to be truly dead, but I agree this is beyond old and really shouldn't have been brought back up to the front page.
