There was a fix added then later removed (figure it was just to clean house rather then actually do anything) that adressed the inactives. 6 weeks and they were no longer citizens. Only thing is, assuming all the whining that was done about it is the actual cause for its removal, the devs pretty much sprung that on us wiht little to no warning so it got a ton of people upset. Especially those with citizens in the military. If they were to implement something like that again then the inactive citizen "problem" is taken out. However that won't come into play for another...I'd have to say 8 months is likely. We aren't going to get a single line of code, not one, until after the SE gets launched unless it is to fix game breaking bugs. Ie not the bug that prevents you from decorating a cloning center that has been in the game for over 6 months.
As for the main problem...I don't get what the main problem is actually. He exploited the fact that a few items can block a terminal (something PvP'ers have been using pets for to stop base raidsfor awhile btw.) and was then contacted and, assumbly, corrected by a CSR since it is griefing. What else do you need? There is a possibility of something like this yes, but I like having my terminal area a tad gussied up with plants, a second voting terminal (although ballot boxes are still borked. I'm sorry but lasting 1 day is just not right) and a bulletin board. They aren't harming my citizens or preventing a vote if one ever occured. Why should I, and hundreds of other well mannered politicians, be forced to make our halls look a little bit crappier just because 1 person exploited. Let alone when that 1 person who exploited was caught and handled by a CSR making the problem moot.
P.S. Pappi,I, and at least adozen other postersI'm sure, would be more thanhappy todiscuss political stuff with you. I've made a few threads to try and bring in some communication and potentially lively debate to the boards but it sank to page 2 exceedingly fast after about a day and a half of posts. If you start one I'm sure it'd last a lot longer, but the fact that we, as a profession and piece of content, are dead in the water until after the expansion, and any fixes that it might entail is a major downer as far as livley talk goes. Especially since everything on SOE's side regarding anything is so cloak and dagger. I've waited how many months and every question regarding a gun is responed with "wait for the rebalance" yet not a single bit of notable info on it. So even if we do come up with some grandiose or simple solutions for any of our problems we'd never know which is also very disheartening.
