Don't put mission terminals up if you want to keep your location under wraps, as they'll appear on the map.
Same for any starter profession skill trainers.
Don't put mission terminals on any raised platform as they tend to fall through and become unusable.
You can never have too many fat blue elephant Musician trainers in front of the Cantina.
The med center has a horrible look and floorplan.
Ditto for the theater.
The center of your city is the coordinates listed in the City Management terminal, not the waypoint put in your datapad when constructing the Hall. The center of the city is actually about 4 meters behind the City Hall.
The management terminal for each structure needs to be within the city radius or bad things happen.

Dropping statues, fountains, and streetlights on top of each other will cause them to be stuck forever until a CSR comes and zaps them. Don't do it.
The blue elephant Musician trainer looks very content inside the rectangular fountain.
Three weeks is an eternity.
