And um .... no offense but just looking at your player name....You're going to be fighting an uphill battle with the name "Adolphus" ... As trivial as it sounds

I'm kind of surprised to see that there is that kind of reaction. Most mayors I've met and towns I've been to had very nice people. In fact, I kind of have been feeling that the whole selfish mayor private town thing was a myth dreamed up by the devs and bitter players. I think if you're running into people like that you are just having bad luck. In our town we're all taking turns being mayor, voting for each other and asking the citizens to vote for particular person if they want to help, in order to get us all the xp. Until there are some master politicians out there it seems in everyone's best interest to focus on getting the xp, not choosing a mayor for life.

I agree with you Neo, I think the "tyrant" theory is incredibly blown out of proportion as well. There's plenty of cities out there with rules (they are factional, they are roleplayer, they are crafter, just prove you're not a jerk and you can move in) and all but a VERY few of them have some provision for helping other politicians get XP, and of the "sorry, I'm the Mayor and that's the way it is" cities I've so far only heard of one who has had a problem in getting them thrown out immediately due to being a bad mayor. All of the others either love their Mayor to death or the city ousted them within a week and moved on to better people. Players are smart enough to know when they have a good leader and when they don't.

Keep checking, I'm sure you'll find a city to move in with. If you're RP, you can even apply for sponsorship with us (we have a one week waiting period just to make sure you do RP and aren't a complete ass), and you'd be our third politician. We're going to start leveling other people as soon as I have the skill to ensure we can place just about anything we want (minus Master items).

As said above, newbie pols such as myself wouldn't like too much to tell his citizens "you must wait for [feature] one more week so a guy can lvl his skills". When people make it to master, things will be different.

Best way to deal with the tall guys is to give them incentives to lick the ground. And dont look down on me that way youre not THAT taller.
