Also I suggest you start a new thread, people are more likely to notice it and what names do we go on test center with? If its the sanate we need our current chrater names on live. yes?
Sorry lots of questions.
Why would every mayor need his own home at the hosting city? If its truly just to set up a senate don't see the need for homes at all.
This would involve having all mayors from all cities on all galaxies apart from Valcyn joining a PA on our server.
A Little Bit Of Pain Never Hurt AnyoneHi Tragg, well the point of houses was because I thought you would play this character most of the time because on your main politicianyour job is done as a pin 30 minutes. So you may want to try a crafter or BH or whatever on the new server. In that case you may want a house to store items and so on.
On top of that I had the idea in my head of this city being the only one that had all the gardens and lights everywhere because as mayors most of us know how hard it is to afford that and may want to join together in this senate city to create a real tourist attraction.
Better Yet Ill Put my rather small, bothanly mouth where my small amount of money is!
Ill host it on my Starsider City, on Talus, Id be devoted enough to Rename and do whatever for it!

My Impression is they want to create the senate but they want it on the Test Center. The problem with that is that test center can be whiped with no warning and the senate and all the work we put into the city would go up in smoke and the devs would just expect us to rebuild it.
Player " What about our senate citydo we get it back? "
Dev " Its the test center you knew we could whipe it out anytime we felt like it, now go away and rebuild it and keep in mind we might feel like deleteing it again next week to test something else. "
My response stands the same. If they want it on test center so as to add all the politicians to its numbers to test future patchs and so on thats fine. However I want my house I want cash and and so on up front. Im not going to put time and effert into something that can disappear. If they do wipe test center some day I would expect the Senate City to be completely Rebuilt by the devs as well as the cash and characters that were lost.
Thats just my opinion. I waste enough time on my main server doing nothing I dont want to go to test center and see everything I do there turn to nothing as well.
But like I said if they do all the work and give us the houses and city and cash and all we have to do is log on and enjoy it then fine if they destroy it we havent lost anything realy.
Ifit was created on a main server we at least know its there until we destroy it ourselves through political bickering like all good senates
There are still many, many questions the main one being having a way to know for sure the person saying his the mayor of a certain city is that person. Only the devs could verify those things.
Anyway Bajeezus did send me a mail on the idea and he has spoken to TH about it. That may have been what led to the above Bajeezus post about heading to test center. Wether it will ever get off the ground I have no idea.
Make it so that only Master Politicians can travel to it and place the ticket collector in the Theed Starport.
It could be a building with no access to the outside world so in roleplaying terms you could pretend you never left your galaxy.
You would be assigned a suite and the six week rule would be active. There would be enough suites for every player city in all the galaxies, though that number would never be reached, and the meeting hall would be large enough to contain the maximum number of cities allowed.
You're inventory and credits would either dissappear or become inoperable as this would be a meeting of the minds and not the pocket books.

Why don't we do this... people are obviously interested.
- Pick a Mainstream Server.
- I'll do a Credit-Transfer... I'd be glad to partially fund this.
- Arrange for a PA Hall.
- Arrange for one of us to be Mayor of this City.
- Try and get on a main planet (Naboo, Corellia, Talus maybe?)
- Choose a name to the city (Something to do with the Galatic Senate)
- Get going! If the Dev's will not comment now, maybe they will once we organize and run this!
