Thread: New City Structure Request Post Office
How about one week. And a definate low item count.
For more lag protection, make it so you would have to join it like the bank. That way there is not the added tranfer of info for those not so active players.

Think of it this way... you special order an item from your city's armorsmith and bank tip him the money for it. You have to log off though to go to work while he is still making your armor. You get home, go to the post office and there is your item waiting for you!Basically... you go into the structure and access a *box* with the citizens name on it, and you are allowed to deposit only. If you access your own box, you are allowed to *withdrawl* only. Maximum storage might be somthing very small, like 10 items (covers all armor) and that is it. There might also be a timer placed on stored items of say... 48 hours or so. If it doesn't get picked up... it is deleted.Just an idea... but would like to know what everyone else thinks.
One important addition you're forgetting:
I want to send letter bombs to my Imperial foes. They go to their pick up window, hit "accept item" and really it was a DX MIne not the floral arrangement they ordered. BAM! 1500 pts health damage and 33.5% wound chance.

also how about we able to oreder
anything we want from the postmaster npc
i.e. we pay 100k for a kit of steel
I think that starts to tread on territory belonging to Merchants. NPCs shouldn't be able to provide everything.
Edit: "that" being the post above me, I like the post office idea. ![]()

maybe but it could give merchants
like myself something to copmpete with
I think that's a great idea!! Would add some depth into the cities more so then they are now, and give players something that makes it easy to do.
I know that in EQ2 they can trade stuff through their "mailbox" so why couldn't we through some sort of Post Office - I mean woudln't they deliver through space? ![]()
