I was once VP Membership of my university's chapter of Alpha Phi Omega (Co-ed service fraternity). I was also involved in all kinds of leadership activites and rolls as a Girl Scout way back when. I was on the Mayor's Youth Advisory Council, and all kinds of other non-political yet leadership oriented rolls once upon a time. I was also guild leader on a MUD, back in the day, which is largely how I got to the position of leader/mayor.
My dad ran for city council, or school board once and lost... beyond that, that's about all I've got for political experience....

I served as one of two student senators for my classin my high school's Student Government during my junior and senior years.
After graduation, I joined the military and was Line Divison Petty Officer for 2 years during my service in the US Navy.
I went to college after that and was secretary/treasurer of my university's Non-Traditional Student Association for one year, and its president the following year.
The same year I was president of that organization, I was also a student senator on the university's Student Government Association.
The following year I was the Speaker of the Senate for the Student Government Association.
I also have a very firm understanding of Robert's Rules of Parliamentary Procedure.
