Hello All,
Thanks for everyone's additional input regarding the "/city warn" dilemma we presently have.
How about when a militia member gives a "/City Warn" to an unwanted visitor (not citizen). There can be a 15-30 period of alert to leave or begin leaving the city proper. So when you got attacked "Pyschotic Chipmunk" with a /city warn when you were under the "trade window". This buffer period would give the "warned" a chance to comply by leaving, or staying and duking it out.
If npc militia guards of one faction or another spawn and are defeated. Then that unwanted player has just rightfully beat the militia and stays around the pac until s/he receives a "/City Ban" command.

Another side feature is to see how useful are the "Trainers" placed in a town by the mayor. Where the mayor can see a trainer menu screen to see which trainers were used (clicked on) the most. So when they're rotated, to know which one's to keep and which ones not to bring back. (due to low usage)

Great thought with the bazaars I had forgotten about them. I don't really know how feasible it would be to have a vendors screen be able to be seen on one at a random area but it would be nice. Something that I was thinking about for the bazaar, actually, was giving cities a 1 way bazaar in comparison to the 2 way ones in NPC cities. What I mean by this is, we can drop a bazaar and use it just like anyone in any NPC city to buy an item but you can't use a bazaar to sell anything. That way there is nothing lost if a bazaar terminal is deleted. Not items are stored on it to be sold and nothing is waiting to be picked up. This way we can at least get a window into what is for sale relatively closeby afterall I would hate wasting 5 minutes and a loadscreen (or however kilometer drive) to the worlds maincity just to find out that the resource I wanted isn't there anyway. Perhaps they could tie the player city vendors into it as well. Afterall region would be pointless otherwise.
Another little thing that I really want to see eventually get implemented is a new statue type based on the different sexes and races. I hate dedicating a Spartan Warrior or Blue Thinker to citizens since it really doesn't tell you anything about them other then their name. Have 'em all look nice and semi-formal, not necessarilly black tie and wedding dress garb but not halfnaked either.

Heh, well I guess I was hoping to have this be more of a discussion of grandiose ideas and less of a listing of things we need. Afterall that would just be a downer to everyone, what our profession could have been turned into with just a publish or two given to us.
There are really 2 items to be talked about above the others, since they are basically already planned out pretty well or are so small and inocuous that there really isn't much left to say, citywarn and creating politics between cities and possibly between worlds. The citywarn thing is so concentrated it seems like a whole can of worms within pandoras box but it still needs to be figured out and a way found out that can work. As for creating actual politics, and therefore content for us is basically so unconcentrated that we can come up with anything from the sky no matter how silly. The political friends and enemies idea seems to do that pretty good but there should be something else or something this can combine with to go even further...of course I can't come up with anything that does it so I guess I'm pretty much useless right now

There are a few things I feel that have hurt discussion:
#1 A developer comment, such as GreenMarine's comments on the smuggler revamp. I wasn't even expecting this, seeing how were not even on the radar for a future publish or have had promised publishes pushed back.
#2 Uncertainty created by publish 11. We are getting something it would appear with the GCW revamp, it could be something really small up to something really huge. Some feedback would be nice on if we should be expecting or preparing for. Knowing what they have in store for us would give us a basis for us to start discussing.
#3 Sometimes it would seem there is an echo in here, especialy when it seems everybobdy is seeing what the jedi are up to. The lack of activity of our board discurages conversation. Part of the reason for that is the makeup of our profession, currently it is very boring.
What can we do to remedy this? Well I doubt there is anything we as a community can do get a Dev post in here anytime soon. (I do have those pics of Thunderheard though). However with the GCW revamp getting more light now that the Jedi have had thier meat, we might be able to pester Jester for some information. The echoing is the only thing we can take care of our selves by participating more in Threads like this, creating an enviorment where people are encouraged to post. If the conversation gets loud enough we might beable to remedy #1.
1 thing is for sure, the Droid Engineers, Chefs, Smugglers and Jedi did not get thier revamps by sitting around?

Here's an idea that woudl work great and could easily segway into having a planetary senate/council after Lucasarts decides whether one fits the timeline (Palpy disolved the galactic senate afterall) WorldWide elections, held every 2-4 weeks,of politicians to be given control over NPC cities as well as their own personal town so mayors aren't let out to dry.The names and powers would fit pretty well with continuity so Lucas can't complain about that, and hopefully a council can be formed to have a lot more politicking between worlds and to get the seat of power.
Naboo (and Rori by extension) would get a King or Queen controlling both areas, Corellia (and Talus by extension) would have a Dictat controlling both areas, and Tatooine (again, with Lok as an extension possibly) would be given a Moffcontrolling both areas.Don't know what to do with Dantooine since it is sorta out in the middle of nowhere and supposed to be more or less uninhabited at this time... If a senate/council is allowed then let anyone with poli get on that and make master politician a requirement to run for Dictat etc. The powers that I describe below and any others people come up with would be decided by thesenate and the King/Queen, Dictat, and Moff are just given a vote that counts as 2 of a normal senator and is the deciding factor in a tie.
The leaders of the various sectors would be given control over a few aspects of the NPC cities via a terminal in the royal palace, and city hall's of the major worlds. (Naboo, Corr, Tat) Raise taxes from the shuttleports and starports to pay for an increase mission payout so that the mains can be 2/3rds the cash as the main worlds. Lower/rearrange the spawns of troopers. More RSF and CorSec over ST's and of course vice versa or just less spawns overall of the protector NPC's so that more meatlumps and thugs are appearing in towns. Things of that nature.
Possibly even have taxes that just garner money for the treasurey to get certain events to occur. Arrival of Vader in your town, constant fireworks displays at night, tusken raid, infighting between gangs (2 spawns of "thug" faction that fight with each other all over the town) NPC band appearing in the theatres that provide new music that can't be played by musicians, but no healing factor to steal money. Stuff like that.
Since everything outside of the Corporate sector is controlled by the Empire if the Dictat, Moff, King/Queen partake in a few too many rebel activities such as base destroy runs or just amass a hell of a lot of FP and are high in rank, or the Reb's start to win at the GCW on that world (visible by the number of imp to reb declared cities are on the world as well as bases, but that isn't as big of a determining factor) they are ousted and can't run again for 2 terms of office.
