I am sad to say that the Politician correspondant seems to be ineffective, (Even though Bajeezus did a FANTASTIC job), otherwise I would volunteer to be the Politician rep. The fact of the matter is that its the DEVs fault. I hate to say that, sinceI dont classify myself as one of the typical whiny people that rip on the DEVs, but they really dropped the ball on the politician profession. As it is now, you basicly bear the burden for your entire city, with very little city-wide benefit, and NO personal benefit.

The politician profession has not even been mentioned in the 'In Concept' forum. If it has yet to reach the "In Concept Forum" , we are looking at several months before anything changes.

Bajeezus had some great suggestions, that I hope the future correspondent will carry on.

Not buying JTL. Its just more of the same bugged game.

Hmm but many other profs have that problem too. It's just that the devs can't care about every prof at the same time and with the upcoming combat/GCW revamp and SE I guess there are even less free resources and some like smuggler etc. are far longer in the game than politicians and need help/updates/revamp too.
So just don't despair and keep on trying and I'm sure the devs are listening to the correspondent and will in time come around to improve politicians (like they already did for other profs).

I will not nominate anyone for I agree with Wastoid. The politician correspondant has been ineffectual for some time and only serves as a baby sitter for politicians who wish to complain about their problems. The CSRs are supposed to do that and I wouldn't wish the task on anyone. That being said I would encourage the right candidate to be a person who is heavily involved in PVP / GCW... not because I am involved in this area, but ratherbecause a lot of the future content and current flaws with player cities revolves around serious flaws in this area and the correspondent should have a strong knowledge and personal experience with these flaws as well as the standard flaws that all politicians experience. Good luck to all the candidates, I hope the angst of the position is properly balanced for you with the thanks of your peers.

Correspondents Selectedfficeffice" />

After returning from E3, I was eager to choose the correspondents. Again, I have been totally amazed at how many great candidate letters came in. Our community is full of very intelligent, very thoughtful people who have a passion for this game and this community and the quality of people here is just awesome.

In the case of each correspondent position, it was a very, very difficult choice. I actually spent much of the afternoon lurking through everyone’s posts, re-reading letters and lurking again. For those of you that were not selected please don’t be discouraged. It surely wasn’t personal. In many respects, they were difficult decisions, because so many of you are more than qualified to act as representatives for your communities. Another thing that is helpful to keep in mind is that the correspondent program isn’t on an automatic term limitation, but real-life activities and other variables have caused most positions to last about 60-90 days. Some are longer and some are shorter, but there will always be an opportunity to climb into the saddle.

Many thanks to all of you who took the time to write me fantastic candidacy letters and curse you for making it such a difficult decision Most importantly, kudos to each and every one of you for being a part of this great community.

Those that were chosen are listed below. I’ve sent out acceptance letters and we’ll get them upgraded to correspondent status as quickly as possible.

Congratulations to:
