For the next round of questions, how about asking where our Master Politician abilities went to ?

Different question - how is the citizen list sorted out? It's not alphabeticlly - not who moved their first ... I'm guessing it has to do with who ever is "higher up" in the database ... So I'm also guessing that whichever city is higher up in the database will win (or the one lower - since it is the last to be checked?) - which would make it likely that the city created first (or last?) will win the race - except, of course, the database is frequently re-written in different order while being maintained.

If the answer we got doesn't include the "plan B" that is used once "plan A" (the population) is useless - I don't think they have a "plan B" - wouldn't be the first time that devs didn't really think the "what if" through

Kheraba City - . - . - . - . - M a y o r - . - . - . - . - . - . - Etraes'Khar
A place to call your home - . - . - . - . - . - . - . - . - . - Many are called, few are chosen
- Where they play that Jizzz - The Green Fizz - Player Cantina Snacks&Drinks

- Tatooine - -3230 -6150 - Gorath Galaxy

Actually, I don't remember where they said the cap was temporary, but I *do* remember them telling us the caps are fixed. Since the majority of the votes went to the city cap question, I wrote it up.

TH:
There will be no more increases in city caps, but we do plan on revisiting the ways in which cities can gain and lose rank.

???????

we have the requirement to advance now but we are not allowed to

so they ll change the requirements so that we have to meet them but still we won t be allowed to grew cause of the cap they are not going to raise

thats complete nonsense

Hi Pappi,

I to am happy with the answer but my city is already a metropolise so Im not to worried about caps anyway hehe. There must realy be a problem on sone servers because on Valcyn only Tatooine has all 10 shuttleports. Naboo only has 5 and in total about 10 cities who had shuttleports have disbanded in the last two months so caps are not a problem at all on Valcyn.

I to however am worried about the idea of the player city dev working on Jump to Light Speed. As the correspondant you should try and get another question answerd straight away to clarify that we can expect changes even though he is not around. Otherwise you as a correspondant are wasting a lot of energy on a profession that doesnt need a correspondant untill he gets back if you know what I mean. As has been said above we are also paying our $15 a month to get help on OUR issues. NOT to have our dev work on jump to light speed.

TH himself should prbably just make a quick post saying that is not what he meant.

Minor changes yes, those are dictated by the priority of the profession at the time and just much it breaks the overal game (IE, an emergency). However Pappi's presence as a correspondent not only helps you get aid with CSRs, but also allows player cities to have their 2 bits in when other professions/domains are debated and discussed.

Example: GCW andPlayer Cities have very close ties to each other.

The dev that oversaw Player Cities was 'GreenMarine' but that wasn't his only area of expertise, he also had other professions and aspects of the game under his domain. He is a fantastic mastermind and his work on the JTL expansion is no doubt masterful. Its just how the business is, guys, and he'll be back to spread the love after launch of the new expansion.

I have a feeling this is why many of his 'profession umbrella' were touched on in the first six months after game launch last year so he could help out with JTL while the other professions got their equal share of love for the year.

Take heart, the circle will come 'round.

Pappi you are doing great and good luck with the move.

For the next question I highly recommend we demand(not ask)thatthe the masterabilities be reinstated. I don't want us to ask.. because we will just get some lame excuse. And maybe in the question we could pin down a solid date or publish by which we will get this fixed.... instead of rough estimates... Rough estimates= broken promisses and lack of commitment on thier part. If we don't get penciled in, then we will just be given a new excuse after JTLS.

As for our profession in general, I think the JTLS excuse is basically a "shine on" to keep us allquitting or droppingpolitician and doing something else.... If Sony would like to throw us a bone and fix the master skills for our profession I might actually have some faith in what they are promissing,(If these skills existed at some point, and some how disappeared, how hard would it be to make them reappear?)

For the most part all I see are broken promisses for theprofessions with the least amount of playersand fixes made to professions that directly effect the most players....Guess that's the way it works though, the people representing the most money get the attention. The ones that don't get broken promisses and excuses.

Considering the caps on player cities, limited opportunities for politicians in game, and the fact that politician is not a holo profession, we probably won't see any love until SOE gets ready to shelve the game. We just don't represent the $$$ they get from other accounts with other largerprofessions. If SOE would like to prove me wrong, I will glady eat my words to get us some attention.

and now we learn the dev responsible for the city is working on JTL, instead of fixing our bugs which we pay 15 bucks per month, he works on JTL which we have additionally to pay for.

Your $15 is probably broken down like this.

$14.00 = Management pay, bonuses and expense accounts.
$00.75 = Developers pay.
$00.20 = Product and packaging.
$00.04 = Other expenses
$00.01 = Tech support pay.

Trust me when I say there is not a huge building crammed with Dev's it's probably three or four guys with about fifty managers stood behind them cracking the whip. Just laugh and carry on, it's the only way to keep from going insane. Anyone who works in a multi-national where managers outnumber normal employee's will know where I am coming from on this one...

Hoz Turner ::Radiant:: Mayor of Avalon + Producer of cheap munchies and beverages.

If I hear one more person say they are cancelling an account, I'll cancel my account !

It doesn't matter how the money is broken down. What matters is we are paying now for continued support and the dev that is capable of delivering said support is working on a project noplayer is currently paying for and is not even a required game system.

When I say not required I mean in the sense that you will not be required to purchase JTLS in order to play SWG.

Vandessa you are truely an optimist

I guess you have to be to be a correspondent..

I challenge the developement team to speak to us in actions rather then with words..

I am not as optimistic as the games correspondentsare....

I tend to see a less then bright and colorful future for our profession... I see our developer working on JTLS for the next 6 months... Then once that is released I see him being uable to come back to us as JTLS is going to keep him tied up for another 6 months to a year because he is so involved with it now.... and we all know that at least 6 months following the release of JTLS he will be fixing bugs with that product and adding new content.... That is why we either need him back or a new developer to step into his old position.

However I guess it is what it is, and we have seen where we rank in the grand scheme of things....I suppose the only way we would see changes is if we all destroyed our city halls and boycotted player cities til our problems were solved.. But I can't do that to my citizens and Iknow you all couldn't do that eitherso I guess we are screwed.

I d agree when we are talking on enhancements of our profession.
But we want our Bugs fixed now and not wait another 4-6 months

I ve mastered nearly all (except of 1) professions of the game but i ve never encountered so many bug s asat the politicians and the cities they are running

major Bugs:
- citizenship
- taxes
- mayor abilities

Hmm what did they do for us?
- they removed /citywarn the only defense against griefers
- they promised about half a year ago the city cap will be temporarily, no we hear they are not going to remove it, maybe change it in half a year
- they removed our master abilities, the only benefit of being master politician

I noticed he said caps wouldnt increase but I wondered if he understand the 2 fold part that what if 1 lvlhas a cap but the HIGHER lvl is still free, there is currently no way to leapfrog a capped lvl.
