You're looking at it from outside the box. Do you think an imperial joins the empire because they think they are evil and want to do nasty things? Mo! They join it because they believe in what the empire stands for, and want to stop these terrorist attacks by this so called rebellion. They might even have heard rumors about the rebels sabotaging the empire's flagships and destroying a planet. (You don't think the empire would report that THEY blew up the planet do you?)

I love it!!! Politicians aren't supose to be fighters, they are diplomats. Lol ppl just asume a politician is nothing and think they will duel and kill us like nothing. but when it comes down too it, most Politicians were something else before being a politician.

I had one guy challenge me when in Theed. Boy was he surprised when I low blowed him, followed by panicshot, then started to flame him. lol nothing funny about a politician with dirty fighting IV and Flamethrower IV. lol the best part was watching him lie there helpless.

It is great to see that there are politicians that can use a weapon or that are trained in martial ways. For those that are not simple establish your elite guard and have one with you at all times. This is how i mange to keep from loseing.
