Thread: Politician Top-Five for official submission:
great work getting all that together.
impressive, most impressive... (reaches for inhailer)
Short, concise, and to the point. Outstanding summary Baj :Cheer. Thanks for all the hard work you've done getting this together. I look forward to more discussions and problems solving for politicians on this board.![]()
Thanks for the kind words, everyone. And thanks mostly for all the hard work and creativity you put into this process during the past week.
The list has been posted on the correspondents development forum and emailed to Thunderheart. So, now we wait to hear from them. Don't be too impatient. Remember, forum posting is fast, game development is slow. ![]()

Really nicely pulled together Bejeezus. Very concise and yet it still lets the devs know that we have an arsenal of ideas at the ready to improve things. I've read a few of the other top five submissions from the other professions, and I have to say that ours... well, I was going to use some eloquent phrase here, but frankly, it just plain rocks by comparison.
The devs should be able to pick a couple of items for quick implementations, and house the rest for future large scale ideas. I can't wait for them to ask "so, what exactly did you mean by Diplomacy?" ![]()

# City Maintenance Benefits
* Balance the specialization costs
* Provide maintenance fee decreases with skill progression
This one part alone as cool as it is will never work. Reason being is that it gives up and coming mayors no chance at all of defeating an encumbant mayor. "Hey, vote for me and this city will cost a lot more!" is not a good pitch.
I will pay the highest compliment that can be given to a politician
/vote Bajeezus
Thank you for doing a great job
Mayor Feliz Gizmacher, Founder of Dune Retreat
Now we play the waiting game.
Oh the waiting game sucks, lets play candyland.

On the other hand, if one of our primary issues with the profession was that there is no reason to keep higher level skills, this certainly provides that motivation. Also, we are early in the evolution of this profession. Most of us have not yet reached master. There may come a time, especially if we ever get any non-mayoral politician abilities, when a candidate has more political skills than the incumbent.

Yeah, this is going to be a tough balance issue for the devs to sort out.
Quick question before we all sit with our hands and wait patiently for a response:
I know you do not know exactly when an answer should be expected from the devs, but should we be thinking days, weeks, or before next patch (Droid Invasion)?

I would also like to see some money come into the treasury for trainers and missions maybe a 10% kickback.
