Thread: Few Ideas for you people to make player citys worth while
an entertainers perspective
i have 2 characters and no intention of a third, as these 2 take all the time im willing/able to spend playing swg
my mian char for wnat of a bette word is on chimaera and is working on becomming a mch/ms/tkm (in priority and title ill use order), this char gets about 75% of my online time
my secondary char is an entertainer (dancer rather thna musician) and gets the other 25% of my swg time (7-20 hours a week), she is souly a dancer atm and im still trying to decide on her secondary profession (wont be a combat one and will almost certaintly be crafting of some sort) but she will still be mostly an entertainer not a crafter or combatant her main problem at the moment, income, in 9 days of play shes made about 6k in tips (got another 30k fomr some very generous poeple after they foudn out i was just starting and had no other proff to provide income so i wnet cloths shopping and now have aobut 1.5k left, but some nice cloths to dance in) or to put things anothere way shes making about 650 credits per day, or 200-300 per hours work, i live in theed, i have no house as i cant afford one, id like to move to a player city and enjoy a far better playing experience but put simply at these income rates i cant afford it, im close to novice dancer now but given ive yet to see anyone ever ask an entertainer for a buff (on either server im on, food buff is a lot quicker so most just drink brandy etc) it looks like my income will be tips, and to put it simply tips just dont cut it the way things are atm, those who have tipped me tend to give me fairly nice tips (lowest ive had was 100 from a novice with no other proff, and masters have tipped as mucha s 2k) but the tips are few and far between with a lot of pcs either tipping the afk dancers/musicians or jsut not tipping
im not going to use a second profession jsut to get an income if/whne i do start one ill be crafting for fun not for profit (ill sell at a profit but my creations will likely be rare one offs rather than stand items) my income is going to come form entertaining, and from tips, hopefully the end of grinding will help me make a decent income and then i cna consider looking ofr a naboo player city to join, but if it doesnt ill be in theed if you need healing dancing and enjoying myself but unable to afford to join a city (and no i woudl want tax exemptions to encourage me to join, if i cant afford to join using my income fomr my main profesison thne theres something screwed with the game and it should be fixed by other playres subsidising my existance within their city
as far as my second char goes he also lives in theed (different server) and wont join a player city for oen reason, he travels a lot so needs to be near a starport to do so, hes not that skilled yet but has already gone hunting on several worlds (on a side note interplanetry travel at ovef 2k each way is nuts)
