I hate to sound so patriotic about my profession...But i am a proud Master Politician. This profession is what you make of it, this is one reason why i have started the Galactic Council on the tempest galaxy. A council with the galaxies mayors and guild leaders. If SOE wont give me what i desire out of the proffession then i will do it myself.

Also i have found that having one or two alternate toons helps take the edge away from the issue of lack of skill points. I know as well as everyone that our profession needs work..but for now i wear it proud and hope for needed change.

I wish Politician was more like Pilot where it doesn't use any skill points. I mean, it's currently a useless profession. So why not make it so it takes no skill points? It's not that big of a deal, and it's not one of those professions where you see everyone wants to master it.

No way.. Politician needs to have some SP taken.Just not as much as it currently does. Could you imagine how manyplayers would be picking up politician just because it was sp free dropping city halls with their 10 buddies andwham.. we've got yet another ghost town to worry about.And i won't get on the topic that it's a "useless" professionbecause i disagree with that It does however eat up far too many skill points for what it grants us abilities to do.

There's a city limit on each planet. Once that's reached, you can't place another city. So even if you did have the skill yet the cap was reached, you couldn't very well use it.

Correct, I had mastered Politician as soon as I could and saw no benefit.

Needed some skillpoints here so I kept on taking from Politician , knowing I could relearn when I had need to...

I do believe there would be many more politician masters if they were ;

  1. Less Skillpoints ( maybe the same cost as the FS trees?)

  2. More value per box.

  3. Less bugged taxes and structure placement within a city.

Us politicians have been living with these deficiencies for so long that we have forgotten to be upset about them!

I have to disagree with you, Josslyn(Chasity). I don't think you'd have players dropping City halls everywhere. Zeon is not proposing you remove the Apprenticeship XP requirement to get novice Poli. He's now proposing you get rid of the politician xp requirement for the skill tree. I actually agree that the politician profession would be more enjoyable if all the skill boxes past novice had a 0 skill point cost. Go ahead and keep the 15 skill points for Novice and I think it all balances out.

that would make it more viable... you still need the time spent in to get theboxes but you wouldn't be so skill deprived.
