Thread: House Roll-Up to Inventory with Contents on Test Center [link inside]
This is a very good Idea. I also like the fact that it will help me with Home Decourating.
Also, I wish they would allow us mayours to pack up someones house that decided to Quit the game. We could from the Mayor terminal in the City hall Click on someones name and it would ask us if the player has a house that you would like to remove, pick yes, and it would go into their bank or inventory, However, they would still be considered a citizen unless they, themselves plant their house elsewhere.
I have 3 Houses of 3 players in my city that have quit the game. They are still citizens, but because they have quit the game, they no longer Vote and are taking up room for others that would like to live there. Just an idea for the devs.
Haven't lost support at all! The new footprint is all out of whack compared to the others of equivalent size. I was just offering that as a suggestion to work-around the issue since I haven't heard a peep about it on the developer end.

This sounds like what was planned in the aftermath of the Character Purge (since this sounds like the system they were talking about for that and wanted to put in for regular players).... /resists the urge to get giggly happy yet
It may be that it was just overlooked in the patch notes, but I'll see what I can find out and pass on.Helps if I *check* the In-Testing thread before I say that.I'll see if I can find out about the relation to the Character Purge then.Message Edited by Khristen on 07-25-2005 01:54 PM
Additional TC Patch Notes were posted yesterday on this .....

House Packup
- The owner of a player house may choose to "pack-up" the structure and all its contents into a house control device. This control device is stored in the player's data pad (CTRL-D).The option to pack up the house is available on the structure's control terminal. You can access the structure's control terminal by using the radial menu.
- Once the house is packed up, a player can interact with the house in a limited fashion via the house control device in the data pad.The player has 3 options available:
- Check Status: This is identical to the check status available inside of the placed house. It allows a player to see the number of items stored in the house as well as the current maintenance situation on the house.
- Pay Maintenance: This is identical to the functionality of the same name on a placed house. It allows the player to make maintenance payments for the structure.
- Unpack house: This feature will cause the house to go into the placement mode. This works the same way as placing a house from a deed. All placement rules are followed.
- Check Status: This is identical to the check status available inside of the placed house. It allows a player to see the number of items stored in the house as well as the current maintenance situation on the house.
** Note: Houses with vendors inside can not be packed. The vendors must first be removed before a house can be packed.

THIS IS AWESOME!!!!
I assume it works on PA halls as well?
Not as yet. I don't think the system is ready to handle anything beyond houses at this point. I'm content to see it pushed back for further testing. This is one I want to see them get 100% right.
