My city is lvl 2 since 3 months, this if the only solution for my 40 citizens.

No this has been up since before 4/1, but it's not been explained. This may be a TC only thing, for example....no idea.

And I do empathize with those stuck below the caps, but I still feel the solution is to raise the caps so we can all advance, not to destroy what exists to make room. I'm tired of fighting to keep people playing when it's not my responsibility to do so.

I am wondering why this was on the patch notes yesterday yet I have not seen any developer or correspondent post on this in this forum. Did I miss something? I would just like clarification on this rule ie. is it in or not?

Yeah, I saw that last night. I'm still confused, but it eliminates the TC only theory....either the system is still what's intended, but buggy, or the system itself is being evaluated. Whatever the reason, I *do* appreciate the devs listening to the feedback on this one. I'm sorry there are some cities that can't advance, and I feel just as strongly about increasing the caps as I do about not crippling existing cities.

Any official word on the reasoning on this one? Should I be panicking for new citizens by any means necessaryor allowingour city to grow naturally?

Either that or they implemented it, cleared up a bunch of characters, empty houses, and non-active accounts, and then took it off. Perhaps we'll see it again when they feel they need to do more housecleaning.

maybe they realize after all the posting that just removing the citizenship is not a good thing.. a house still there.. especially if they want player cities to grow... cause since space is a VERY much an issue... any space that CAN be use but taken up due to system that the devs push out..... (house does not remove from cities) will still litter the cities with empty houses...

Yeah, but inactive players regardless are bad. Player cities are meant to be competitive and this is/was the reason for the inactivity rule. It made it so that people had to be on top of things or lose their spot to someone else more active. I see too many player cities that are ghost towns now.

but also in the same time.... I have players who came into our city.. we adventure a little.. then I got a second job... i play less.. now I hardly see but a few straglers who play in weird hours..... I try to keep on top of things.. I have assistance all over to make sure things are taken care of when I'm not around. But when someone suddenly cancel their account for any reason.. there is no way for us to know that..

The citizenship terminal SHOULD tell us who is active and who is not active (i.e they been gone for more than a week) this way we can try to contact via email (in game/out of game) talk to their friend.

I would agree, but until the game is sufficientlystabilized that i don't have to fight to hold citizens, much less find new ones, it's just not workable. Perhaps after space? Right now I'm not losing citizens to the fact Aventine's a bad city or because of my leadership or lack of, I'm losing people because they're getting bored with SWG and moving on. I don't know how to fix that, and I'm not sure I should really be expected to do so.

I am hoping that the developers are rethinking the inactive citizenship rule. This rule will cause the destruction of MANY cities because of inactive citizen houses. There is no way to work around these houses. If they are going to allow the inactive rule to exist.. they need to expand the boundaries of land that a player city can have.
