This week for me...
Was let back in the guild. With the condition of putting up with a Forum, which was a glorified Witch Hunt. A vote to be held on the guild's forums. And then the Guild Leader left, with alot of hooplaa of how wonderful she is for stepping down to end problems.
I explained I couldn't step down, that it's beyond the game's ability to do that. Got called more names. So I dropped out of the guild. Several other people left as well. The problems continue in the guild, showing it went deeper then just me. Hopefully they will fix things. Until then I am running the city as I always have. I'm the only one with militia rights, and opening up the city to other Imperials. So if anyone wants to make an alt and come to the city, your more then welcome.
I figure if nothing else. They will have to work together to kick me out of being Mayor.
Anneke Rose (Princess of Sanctuary, still...)
Yep, our week in politics was the PA Sanctuary lost its city. As replied to here: http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/board/message?board.id=Politician&message.id=39796&page=2
Sanct was built by the members, paid for by the members, kept up by the members, protected by the members, and loved by its members. Anneke didn't pay for the city buildings, she wasn't the one who originall built Sanct, and all monies came out of the city coffers. What she did do was run around and pay the maintenance on dead houses..
The Guild Leader did step down as Anneke had previously posted in the Politician Forum that all her problems were due to this new Guild Leader coming in. So, the GL stepped down to avoid any more issues and did this on behalf of the PA and the members' interests. Well, Anneke now no longer had a reason to be upset, and what is her response? The above "And then the Guild Leader left, with alot of hooplaa of how wonderful she is for stepping down to end problems" and then Anneke preceded to take the city.
Yes, several other people did leave, a total of 3 out of over 128 members.
Sanct tried to get another voted in last night and there were over 30 votes in less than an hour for the person. Then all of a sudden the Member running was taken off the ballot and the militia disbanded. End of story. It shouldn't surprise anyone as this is the same person who previously had put a fountain on top of the ballot box to prevent voting, had previously removed the militia once before, etc. I hope all the new imperials who go to Princess Anneke's city reap what they sow.
Heck, "Princess Anneke" got what she wanted, she's still the Princess.

You never have to blow up the city. Noone ever has to blow up their city unless the entire community decides it is time to move on or more or less just decide to get rid of the city. Destroying the city is tantamount to griefing and if it is due to in game reasons that could easily be solved or thanks to election jitters it is a bannable offense and CS may restore the town for the offended parties. Scorched earth policies when it comes to over 80 citizens is the worst way to do anything and frankly that option should never even get brought up. Ever. Wellunless it was preceded by "if we all agree to it I can..." then it might be acceptable.
