After a longer silent time around Kheraba City ... dropping back to Level 4 ... we combined our efforts and got back to metropolis last week. As I had to take a longer inactivity break playing SWG and as mayor it took some time until the remaining citizens with and without militia rights worked out a temporary new form of governing the city and new leader roles formed (something that never really happend while I was still around 24/7 ... and which I hope will help me alot now that I'm back .. or I hope to be).

Best achievment of a citizen is probably our new 3-D Map of Kheraba City ... something that apparantly was able to draw more attention to our city than any of our events did. I can only say, that I'm very happy to see the hard work being driven farther on by my fellow citizens and that Kheraba City is up and about again.

This week for me...

Was let back in the guild. With the condition of putting up with a Forum, which was a glorified Witch Hunt. A vote to be held on the guild's forums. And then the Guild Leader left, with alot of hooplaa of how wonderful she is for stepping down to end problems.

I explained I couldn't step down, that it's beyond the game's ability to do that. Got called more names. So I dropped out of the guild. Several other people left as well. The problems continue in the guild, showing it went deeper then just me. Hopefully they will fix things. Until then I am running the city as I always have. I'm the only one with militia rights, and opening up the city to other Imperials. So if anyone wants to make an alt and come to the city, your more then welcome.

I figure if nothing else. They will have to work together to kick me out of being Mayor.

Yep, our week in politics was the PA Sanctuary lost its city. As replied to here: http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/board/message?board.id=Politician&message.id=39796&page=2

Sanct was built by the members, paid for by the members, kept up by the members, protected by the members, and loved by its members. Anneke didn't pay for the city buildings, she wasn't the one who originall built Sanct, and all monies came out of the city coffers. What she did do was run around and pay the maintenance on dead houses..

The Guild Leader did step down as Anneke had previously posted in the Politician Forum that all her problems were due to this new Guild Leader coming in. So, the GL stepped down to avoid any more issues and did this on behalf of the PA and the members' interests. Well, Anneke now no longer had a reason to be upset, and what is her response? The above "And then the Guild Leader left, with alot of hooplaa of how wonderful she is for stepping down to end problems" and then Anneke preceded to take the city.

Yes, several other people did leave, a total of 3 out of over 128 members.

Sanct tried to get another voted in last night and there were over 30 votes in less than an hour for the person. Then all of a sudden the Member running was taken off the ballot and the militia disbanded. End of story. It shouldn't surprise anyone as this is the same person who previously had put a fountain on top of the ballot box to prevent voting, had previously removed the militia once before, etc. I hope all the new imperials who go to Princess Anneke's city reap what they sow.

Heck, "Princess Anneke" got what she wanted, she's still the Princess.

Sorry everyone that the guild's politics have come here to sit. (shakes head).

The guild lost 6 people that I know of. They even kicked out one person for a stupid reason (but mostly because he supported the fact that I knew what I was talking about when it came to cities.)

I'm having alot of fun in game now. No more drama to deal with. The guild has been told they are welcome to stay, but they are choosing to move out. (Not having the orginization to vote me out).

(The fountain was placed during another election and only for about two hours. It was stupid, I admit it, and so I removed it again.)

I'm ignoring those being rude to me, and my days are so much better. I'm happy again, I love the game again. Waiting for JTL.

(I didn't even have to blow up the city.)

You never have to blow up the city. Noone ever has to blow up their city unless the entire community decides it is time to move on or more or less just decide to get rid of the city. Destroying the city is tantamount to griefing and if it is due to in game reasons that could easily be solved or thanks to election jitters it is a bannable offense and CS may restore the town for the offended parties. Scorched earth policies when it comes to over 80 citizens is the worst way to do anything and frankly that option should never even get brought up. Ever. Wellunless it was preceded by "if we all agree to it I can..." then it might be acceptable.

Ladies and Gentleman of the Political Forums,

I apologize for bringing “our” fight to your doorstep but is seems our dirty laundry has been airing here form months.

As unfortunate as that is, our entire guild feels it is in our best interest to move from our city currently occupied by Miss Anneke versus spending one minute longer in a city that harbors so many bad memories as well as a traitor to it’s people

Could we have voted out Anneke? I think we could have, but the price it would have cost the guild to do this just wasn’t worth it. Yes, our city was stolen from us form a women, who in real life has trouble distinguishing the games reality vs. what most of us just call reality. Her controlling ways only prove that she has detachment issues as well as self–imagine issues that cause her to use the game and it's members to make herself feel better about herself. It really is sad to see someone hit rock bottom like this and still be in a state of denial about the issues she has and the pain she causes ours. Call it denial, Call it a lack of accountability or call it whatever you want to, but I just call it sad.

glad your gone anneke....maybe you would have a mayoral leg to stand on if your actions during most of these issues had been more honorable? and just perhaps being a mayor of a city named after the guild should tell you a little something about where city priorities should be rather then your personal agendas. Thats ok though because all you do is ensure that everyone who lives in "sanct" and sees <sanct> members running around will know you for what you are.

I recently logged in to SWG -- took off all of my toon's clothing (well as much as I could) and streaked though the city shouting Oye' Oye' Oye'.

It was fun and furthered my reputation as a "Mayor on the edge".

No political problems in Aurora....we are a quiet city while people are in beta and grind jedi.

I am saddened to see such a political dispute occur. I hope that it ends well with both parties finding communtities where they are able to have fun without the internal strife that has split them apart.

Sincerely,
