I just thought of something related to Mayor Retirement. Earlier I mentioned how a resident could opt to "incumbant default" or not.
The Mayor should be able to "Deactivate all Incumbant Votes" so only a straight vote will result in the winner of a Mayor Election. Why shouldn't the city have SOME measure of control of this aspect of the voting process?

That is a brilliant idea.

Thats the way it should be, Mayors need more control over their cities. Player cities are likley the strongest thing going in this game by making a sense of "community" with the players.

The best way to grant zoning, and make sure all of your militia know this, is to:
show the prospective resident their new lot
/grantzoning
Make sure the house is facing the proper direction and is in line with the cities plan, ie houses etc
If this is fine the militia member immediatly /grantzoning again
the second /grant zoning revokes the zoning rights of the individual immediatly. They will not be able to place any other structures letalone run amok for 24 hours.
As it stands right now the only people that should be on your milita are cityplanners anyway. Those that you can trust to follow the plan decided upon and revoke zoning immediatly.
The need for any militia as police went away with /citywarn, militia is really a bad title without the ability to protect the city.
