Not enough lots to place two guild halls, and they are talking city halls.

Interesting question. -Probably- won't be able to place the second city hall. Have someone else do it. They only need to be a novice politician, it won't cost any skill points... you -are- working with a cooperative group, aren't you?

We will join another guild soon because of inactivity of our own guild. Also the city is dead. We have 70 residents, but only 13 are active. So we decided to start a new city on another planet. We found a nice spot but we dont want to disband our old city immediately. First we wont to get a shuttleport at the new city. So we need to run 2 cities for some weeks. I just wonered what happen if i place another city hall with the current mayor of the city. Seems nobody tested it so far

Thx for your reply anyway.

Greetings,

Joris

Hi everbody.

One question. I am mayor of a city and want to start a new one and get rid of the old one. What happens if i found the new city while i am stil mayor of the old city? Will I be mayor in both cities or will i get removed from the old one?

Thx a lot.

You have a dead city of 70 houses, plus civic buildings, factories, extractors, etc, and are leaving it to start a new city because of inactive players?

You might want to ask all of the residents if they will move to the new city, then go into the old one with a wrecking ball and...

Destroy that city hall! Destroy all civic structures! Destroy, destroy, destroy!!!

Ever notice how half the threads here are about buildings not decaying and lack of space to build new cities?

The problem is that the buildings of people who did quit months ago are still there and are not getting removed/destroyed. Also our mayor left and so we had to wait 3 weeks until i was able to become mayor. I wrote all citizens, but nobody seems to be active or interested in the city. So why keep it alive? Better start a new city with people that are active and willing to maintain a nice new city then live in the ruins of an old city that is dead.

My only question is. Can i place a second city hall if i am allready mayor of a city and what happens to my old city?

Thx, Joris

I realize that your new city is not the finely-tuned machine that you dreamed of, but you did take on the responsibility of mayor. Have you honestly even given your current city an effort? You may want to use this as an opportunity to learn how to run a city, to gain politician experience, and to see what the militia, zoning, upkeep, taxes, keeping citizens active, and getting citizens to vote is all about. There are rewards for being a mayor of a successful city, but it takes work too.

Guild Hall: 5 lots

You can place two of them, but why would you?

It should not let you place another city hall while you are mayor.
