Thread: Purchasing rewards with our Political XP

We're all pretty much XP capped, right? Nothing going on there. Well, I'd like to see Political XP spent (much in the same way Entertainers are forced to buy the new song/dance) for special rewards. I'd go as far to say these rewards should only be available to a Master Politician.
Politicial XP could be turned inand used in many ways:
- Transfer to credits (1:1 ratio) which go to the treasury
- Transfer to FP (lower ratio)
- Purchase city-specific title, as in "Mayor of Port Agrilat"
- Purchase bodyguard pets (like faction pets, just in a suit and tie)
- Purchase a special vehicle (ok, I'm stretching now) which has an NPC driver.
- Purchase a "free travel" voucher (no trade) which lets us get shuttle tickets without charge. (for a week?)
Any other ideas? Some of these are not hard to program (though I want the limo most) and would solve both the Master Politician emptyness and the useless political XP issue.

Those are awesome ideas. I'd love to have an NPC entourage and a driver where ever i travel.
Would help make the profession a lil more than just a player CSR, which is basically what we boil down our profession to. We manage the player citys for the CSR's with our hand tied.

or maybe even let us pick from a small list of humongous exotic statues. one time only pick. could get something along the lines of what they gave to the winners of the scavenger hunt a while back.

Some very nice ideas here. Since poli xp is based upon the "hard work" of the citizens, and only trickles in at a very low rate, I think this kind of reward would be very cool.

OK, I really want the limo now. Even if it were just a Landspeeder with a little bothan driver (wearing a little hat).

I like that!!! Oh, and the statue idea. Some sort of work of art would be great!!

I still wear my fez when I pull out the landspeeder, although that is pretty rare now. I really should push to get an AV so I can be a shriner again.
Good ideas, and I would really love to get some "special" city decorations available for an xp transfer. Have 'em be pretty pricey though (maybe only a master can buy them due to the xp req?) so as to make them fairly rare and not just a new statue that arch's can't make. Shouldn't be too hard to come up with some neat looking ones.
For the bodyguard, here's an idea allow for a non CH to call out two of these "entourage" lvl guards. I loved walking around with 2 marines behind me back before the pet # nerf. (but don't want to go back to guys controlling 3 AT's)
Maybe some special clothes and we can do the coloring for it?(loot ones that can't be made even after JtL adds however many new things for crafters)

I don't want a limo with a driver. Give me a Harley swoop with a rippling muscular bronze god to drive it while I sit behind him in my leather and laceoutfit and wrap myself around . . . . . . . .

I would just prefer the "Mayor of <city>" tag. It's simple yet would make life easier, especialy when running around your own city and its just taken on about a 20 person growth spurt and people have lots of questions...but don't know who to ask...=P

Some things I'd like to be able to purchase as Mayor:
- City Entrance Arch
- City Trainer Gazebo
- City Music Theme (when they cross your border, it'd play some in-game music of some type)
- City Flagpole/Bannerpole
- City Event (droid invasion? NPC invasion? kaadu? rancors? veermoks and maulers? etc)

Buying city beautifications or hiring NPCs for the city would be great
but to be realistic we ll never get any of it

this is great idea to use the Poitician xp to buy thing.
I would say to buy new Statues, Gardins that can't be crafted by Architect, get some Gate ways to place in the city or u can get some new items for mayers only to place in the cityhall as decoration or i would love ot have the music in the ID tent in my cityhall.
Atm ppl can convert there xp to fs xp, so why we dont get something to make politician life easier a bit.
