I only keep mine active so I can see when a good post has been NOSed and needs a pick-me-up so that the noob forums users can see the post.

same... people tend to 1-star anything they don't agree with, and sometimes those threads have either facts or useful info.

Hehe...I actually like keeping my star system on. When an entire thread is one starred, I give it 5, just to balance it out.

Do people still use the rating system? Gave up on that ages and ages ago

Could have a pretty good stab at guessing the identity of the individual concerned though.

I bought a second account so I could go and 5 star all of my posts which got a mysterious 1 star..
