Thread: A need of a novice politician to test this out.....

Ok.. since Starscream000 think this is a "wild idea" might as well test this once and for all
I will donate 10 small houses for the cause, but will sell a city hall for 300k for this test..
we are going to need 10 people (1 politician and 9 "temp citizens")
we can finally test this idea once and for all if you drop all politician skill as mayor and see what happen. (including novice politician)
I personally feel that no politician in their right mind would do this to their own city (fearing losing the hall) thus.. I feel this would be a good test to try it out... let me know if you are interested...
Now the problem we might have is the ability to set up a city on some planet (my server is lowca) that is where I can test it...
if someone else wants to test it on another server.. I have no problem creating a temp char for the test....

hehe... actually.. this is to answer YOUR question....
personally.. I think the city will be destroy... but if you are not willing to help to get the answer.. then you do no deserve the answer....

Well, I can answer the question for you. I had my alt drop the city hall for the current city I am the Mayor of. I surrendered all polotician skills including novice and nothing happen. but I did not go through a update cycle as mayor as my main char won the election that cycle. But that was 5 weeks ago. So not sure if any changes have been implemented since then.

no.. but if you read the 3rd thread link I posted in YOUR thread.. there was a person who claims that he did it...
that is the best I can find in this politican forum at this time...
no devs or correspondent have answer this as of yet.

Is the best that I can offer. Sorry it is not enough. I would like to know the results of the test though.

hehe.. yea.. now if I can get 9 people to do it....
I currently have a city that I'm running that is level 4.. and I don't want to take out those citizens since I needed the exp
It would be hard.. but I guess I could do it with "ghost" citizens..
our recruiting teams been trying to get more people so we can upgrade to level 5 (80 citizens as of right now) but it is tough

I would gladly create a new character on your server and take up novice politician for your test to help out. Getting the app xp shouldn't be hard after I get a few scout skills but he won't have anything at all so you'd have to supply the city hall. Sorry if that isn't good enough for your purposes but I don't really want to play a new char for a week just to test something and then delete him.

actually.. the test would be something like this
1. we get a player to become a novice politician..
2. plant the hall
3. get 9 citizens.... and plant their homes.. this will bring the minimum number to 10.. which will cycle the 1st time for "qualification"
4. after qualify.. drop novice politician and let the city run until next update
5. record what happen... if the city goes poof.. well.. we just pack up.. if it stays.. cool (but how long will it stay? will it be fix it stays??
getting APP shouldn't be too hard as long you can earn 300 combat exp after that you can train me support one over and over for APP

No need to test.
I havce been mayor since cities came out, 3 weeks ago I dropped ALL politician, including novice. People are running against me, we are trying to get a new mayor, but I keep winning the election. We are a City, and every structure is still in its place, every trainer and terminal still where I dropped it. I can remove any decoration, terminal, and trainer, but now I can't place them.
So do not worry, you may drop politician and your city will still be fine.
