The only way to get Politician xp is by getting votes or being the incumbent mayor. You cannot "grind" Politician xp.
that is horid. Ok, so I will get my members to vote equally between all the challengers in an atempt to get poli exp amongst them. For I am commited to having the grind up the poli exp.
They really should get some kind of exp just for running.

They do... at the end of the three week cycle they get 300XP per vote.

Are they just looking for the badge?
because if you are its going to take a hell of along time with only a few people voting

I decided to grind politican xp just so I could get the badge. So I set up a city a couple days ago, and am paying people to live there and vote. 100k to move, 100k per vote. So far, the response has been good. I should have a metropolis in a month, and I expect to pay for about 80 votes per 3 week cycle. I should have my politician badge by Christmas for less than 50 mil or so.
I know there are less expensive ways to do this, but this is probably the fastest. And I like collecting badges. I'm not sure why, but it's fun for me. And it's important to do what's fun in the game. So I figure I can help out a bunch of new players by making them rich, and they can help me out by helping me grind politician xp...
