I am the mayor of a city and decided I want to quit. I have somone to replace me and send out an email asking everyone to change their vote. Out of 60 about 2 did the first day, then about 8 then 10. Now its areound 23 to 41 and I am not sure if I will be knocked out of office. There NEEDS to be a way do drop out, the fact that there isn't makes me very angry. This is greifing from the devs of the game making it so I have to stay polotician, or destroy the city. PLEASE change this.

you can just quit, he'll get all his votes and with there being no condendor, he wins. What's so hard about that?

Can you just undeclare or declare residence outside the city and then you'll no longer be citizen or even eligible for mayor.

first off, you 2 missed the whole point of this. you can't undeclair citizenship if you are the mayor...The city hall is your residence. i am in the same boat as well. I am sick of being mayor and no one will vote for the other guy, they just let the auto vote handle it. There needs to be away to give the mayor title to someone else. but then again, on more way morons can grief a city.

But something really needs to be done. i am about ready to drop polititon completely and loose the hall if i can't drop from being the mayor. not sure what else to do

What happens if you declare residence in another house outside the city? Doesn't that end your Mayoralty? (I haven't tried it.)

That would be nice if we could conferm that. I don't want to loose the city hall if i drop it all. I wish plinka would get in on this. I don't see him post that often anymore.

Plinka replied to a different post on this subject saying there is no current way and that it's been mentioned to the devs.

I am not going to drop it untill a dev or Plinka confirms that no harm will come to the city. Untill then I will raise taxes to the people vote against me :-D

If there is someone else running, you'll just be disqualified. They will become mayor. Read through earlier info and you'll find your confirmation.
