Im not sure if this can be asked in the 19 questions but I was traveling through Naboo which is the planet my city is on and noticed a few spawned POI's that would look amazing if I could place them in my city.

Then I thought Hmm wouldnt it be great if they added the ability to place some of these in the Masters Box. They could even give some love to two professions by allowing it to be created by architects just like gardens.

--------------------------------------

So I guess my 19 question would be:

Would it be possible to add current spawning POI options available to each planet to the Master Politician skill so they could be placed in Metropolis size Cities.

-------------------------------------

I say Metropolise size because apart from the extra 50m all you get from Metropolise realy is the ability to pay a lot more city hall tax. Yes I know about the extra terminals and stuff but I dont call them a real bonus for the added cost. They could always spread the POI's over all city sizes leaving only the largest for possible placement in Metropolise size cities.

Its just a thought but they look so gooooooooooooood!

is that pretty much the same as asking for new decorations for rank 5 cities? not sure how feasible this specific request is, but I like the metro question.

actually, someone brought up metropolis and the lack of new stuff at our panel in the fanfest, but I don't remember what happened after that. it would make a good question though something about plans on giving metros bonuses. we'll see how the votes turn out.

greenmarine answered the master politician empty box issue

So what exactly did he say again? From the FanFest update by Zelos1 I got that he said the were removed because "a bug-type issue" - and not because of design. But that doesn't answere if, and when, we can expect this "bug-type issue" to be resolved (or was "after JtL" the answer?) ...

Seeing almost every answere on "things to improve" will give us (and probably every other profession) the "after JtL" answer (and when JtL comes, it will be "What was it you wanted again?") we might concentrate on getting things cleared up for the here and now.

For example:
"Are the Specialisations all working as intended? There are many players that don't see any changes in crafting with Research Center on, or in Combat with stronghold (see posts in this forum). Also, looking at your logs, has anybody ever used the specialisation Sample Rich, Medical Center or Entertainment District?"

Other questions that revolve around current events would be
- Will cities get chats that automaticly add citizens in the recently announced "additional chat channels" mentioned in Gary's "State of the Game" Letter (unfortunatly the Letter is presently not viewable - I found it here - it's the letter that announced Smuggler Revamp would be after JtL)
- What exactly can we expect from the "Player City Missions" that where announced in the "State of the Game" Letter? (I think this was in the "State of the Game" Letter before the Smuggler was put after JtL - so I don't have a quote - but remember well)

In the last poll for our next question the "Mayor of ..." title was a popular demand (second after "The Master Box") - but the answer will defintly be "Yeah, we like the idea - after JtL"

Yeah was just a thought realy, not sure if its a NEW decoration though because the game is already generating the POI's, so whether it draws it 50m out side my city or in my city where I want it to show up doesnt seem to me to be any different. Its not as if I am asking for new artwork to be crated its already there. Anyway on with the voting.

so what ?

are we all suppose to wait till JTL release to expect alittle consideration regarding Player City bugs ?

that's great... leave something to work on another without at least see if the first things is fixed

cities not updating (rank cap bug)

city spec not working

planetary map not showing all PC shuttles

shuttle travel possible to a city which not eve have a shuttle

... ect

oh my..., i fear JTL if the guys who let the player cities like this are now working on it

sorry... I'm very upset regarding this

Cities do update ranks all the time (though there is an issue with cities not releasing cap space if they are destroyed for treasury reasons)

City specializations do work

Never seen the planetary map issue, can't comment

Shuttle travel to city that lost it's shuttle - I'd say the bigger issue here is /cityban not affecting incoming travel

FanFest has made one thing abundantly clear to me: Most issues we see are matters of developer priority, not developer competence. Every "game designer" (i.e. the true devs, not their bosses) was knowledgable and enthusiastic. They all seemed bothered by the same issues that bother us. They spoke in terms of what could be fixed and how much work it would take to do it. The problem comes when you talk about when they will have the time necessary to perform that work - the answer was almost always the same nebulous "after JtL".

I wouldn't worry too much about JtL - it's clearly got developer priority.

JtL clearly has developer priority.

next to jedi, of course

Sad, of course, for politicians, that JtL has such high priority - because I fear it will take even more citizens away from the city (no starport - using YT-1300 as home - in space all the time)

Well - let's get back to constructive *beats the unconstructivness out of himself*

If Devs have clearly mentioned specialisations working as planned, I'd like to ask only the last part of my question:

"How many Citiesdo theAstroMech Stats see using Sample Rich, Medical Center or Entertainment District Specialisations"

since our last 19 question thread is now rather outdated (greenmarine answered the master politician empty box issue), what else would you like to ask?

note: when greenmarine comes back after being done with JTL, he'll show us lots of love, in the mean time, we aren't getting a lot of stuff... therefore keep your expectations reasonable.

Bugger - and it was such a nice crafted question as well .

Hmmm (puts on thinking cap)................

Oh I know of one....how about.....

"Are there any plans to introduce a 'residents' only type structure into player cities. This would allow cities to place a structure such as a Mall, PA Hall, etc, that is usable only by that cities residents. An entrance fee could be applied as an option for non-residental access and could become another revenue stream for the city".

or my favorite question of the week............

"Could Mayors be given the ability to see the last logons by residents in the cities Structure Management terminal; eg, instead of just listing the name of the resident, it could also list when the resident was last logged onto the server".

Yes, the answer was "nothing new". There isn't anything they could give to Metros that they don't already possess, since no "new" artwork or objects were being considered. It's an outside possibility that already-existing objects could be added to the city buildings (bridges were mentioned, specifically) but if it involves anything more than simply allowing crafters to make them and allowing them to be plopped down as-is, then probably nothing new will be implemented for cities, regardless of size.

However, they didn't talk about this in context of the GCW changes, so possibly metros would get some bennies as related to that.

My suggestion would be, if we managed to get cities to spawn NPCs based on a city factional affiliation (once implemented), different ranks of cities might spawn differen't types of NPCs, with Villages spawning lower-level NPCs, and Metropoli spawning upper-end content, including possibly up to AT-ATs as random spawns inan Imperialcity. These would have nowhere near the spawn rate as regular bases, but would have a decent chance of randomly spawning them on occasion.

I like this one.... I remember reading this too, and getting excited.

But has this now vanished from their current development roadmap? Obviously they had some ideas for it if they publicly mentioned it as "Coming Soon(ish)".

Well, somethign that wouldn't require a lot of time and coding.... I'd like to know if they can increase the trainer limit for cities. Seems like such a silly thing to cap.

My Question......

Instead of re-instituting /citywarn. Can we get an IMPROVED /citban that prevents shuttle usage AND "rubberbands" said offenders back out of city limits when they try to enter?
