Politician Archive
Thread: City Wishlist
I'll start off with a few wishlist items:
1. City Policies: a menu option from the City Management Terminal that would allow citizens to read the mayor's current policies. A mayor would be able to edit this display text to show her policies or other important information.
2. Email to the mayor when someone makes a donation to the treasury.
3. Better display of the breakdown of income. Show how much came from what tax, etc.
1) Admin in City Hall.
2) Grant Zoning Rights moved from Militia to a "council member" position.
3) Mayor to withdraw more money from the treasury upon a vote by the citizens in the city hall.
4) My FAQ to be stickied
(couldn't resist)
Plinka,
1. Structure report, make it list all structures in the city and who owns them. I thought from screen shots from testcenter this is what it did. Now all I see is City Hall 100%.
2. Militia ranks, break down the militia into 3 ranks Officer, Non-Com, enlisted. Officer gets all the commands, Non-Com gets /ban/warn/pardon but not zoning rights, enlisted gets no commands but can attack anyone with a city TEF.
3. Ability to set footprints to reserve space. Maybe limit it to five footprints. With how long we have to wait for parks, shuttleports... It would be nice to have a little red-roped off area that was permanent so we could reserve space.
A militia HQ would be nice. Allow it to have a few turrets or such.
If Politicians were meant for just one office, the profession would have been titled Mayor. Allow the citizens of a city to vote for a change in the type of government, with a 2/3 vote. Offer more than the simple voted-in mayor. Types of governments can range from dictatorships to democracies with various options.
For at least one of the government types, we need options for an elected city council that can watch over the mayor to ensure he is not corrupt. Give city council members the ability to remove the mayor from office with a 2/3 vote of the council.

1. City hall admin rights (it's nice to have help decorating the place)
2. Increased possible max radius for a city to 500m (450m will be cramped for some cities to fit 85 citizens).
3. City council (all on city council would need at least novice politican)
4. Milita does not have a /grantZoningRights option (every politican should know why)
5. A Milita HQ building (assuming it isn't the stronghold)
6. FIX THE CURRENT ZONING RIGHT BUG THAT ONLY ALLOWS YOU TO GIVE 1 CITIZEN ZONING RIGHTS FOR 24 HOURS.
Thats all I can think of for now. Keep on truckin.
1. It would be nice if there was a way against griefing.
2. More control as to what you can do with the city hall, admin list, change signs, etc.
3. (I agree) Taking structures that don't have declared residents.
4. Ability to reserve areas of town.
5. Make the guildhall deeds more flexible for non newbie planets.
6.Make gardens and such more flexible to non newbie planets. Gungan Head Statue, etc...
7. Different sized merchant tents, ones that can house more merchants...
8. *sigh* Bigger radius.
1.- Better reports as you advance in the politician skill tree.
2.- Poll
(hey, it posted auto)
2.- Poll terminals
3.- Deed for milicia HQ
1) Being able to move houses without deeding (huge one especially with large houses and PA halls that have many items and were meticously decorated or stuck in place for some other reason)
2) Name tags other than your politician skills.
