Thread: Guild Recruiting? Rothin?

I have a question and there may be a simple answer I have not seen. When a new player logs on SWG and starts his life as a toon is there a way for them to see all the guilds on that server in order to find one (s)he would like to join? If there is not already a system like this in place they need to create one. It could be something like the new vendor search. You could have a guild terminal that gives you the faction, location, and # of members of a guild including a contact person allowing you to go check them out and decide which one you would like to join. Guilds could choose if they wanted to by listed on here just like a vendor. Like I said I may have missed a current way of doing this and this may have been brought up before, so just a thought.

There is not a way to do this in game but most guilds post on the forums but new players dont always look on the forums so they wouldnt know what guilds were in game. I think there should be some sort of terminal in game (like u mentioned) That alows you to post infomation about your guild Including Faction, number, rules ect.. (also the number in the guild should update at a system check). There of course should be some fee for this, even if it is only a small one but this is something i would like to see ingame

Some one ran this suggestion some time ago, we are talking a year or so back, its a good idea it would help new people to find guilds. Of course I say its always up to the guilds as well to find new people. Just having some one come up to me and say "hey I would like to join your guild" doesn't always work with me. I would like to hunt with the person see how they respond see if they are sociable. But a system that list the different guilds, besides the forums, would be nice to see.

This is something that has been suggested before and it's actually on our wishlist.

Don't we all.
I'm sure they'll try to do what they can when time permits. Right now though the focus is on the expansion and CU I believe.

I've heard they selected the alpha testers but have they started selecting beta yet? Just wondering how this is moving forward since it is supposed to come out soon? I bet you can't answer that!

Well.. I could.. but I probably wouldn't have a blue name anymore.
Just keep an eye out for announcements, that'll be the first place to find things out.
