Thread: Terminal Trouble in Paradise (City)

The guild I just left, is having difficulties with the terminal.

Due to the lot requirement, the person I wished to leave the guild to, could not accept the leadership. (That's a whole 'nuther topic.)

So, I left the guild completely.

Now, the guild terminal will not work at all, in any of the two guild halls that exist.

There was no election started. Nothing.

I haven't left the game. I left the guild and believed they could carry on with elections happening etc.

This is not the case.

They now have two people wishing to join, and no terminal working... and no time given when it might. Nothing.

Can you help please?

Thanking You,

-R.

When the guild leader quits the guild without transfering leadership or allowing two weeks for a manual election to finish, it locks down the terminal and there is currently no way to fix it. It's a known issue by the devs but there isn't any way to fix it currently. Until it's fixed the guild will not be able to add or remove any members or even use the terminal at all.

/bangs head on the floor.

Ok, if everyone guild removes, will that disband the guild? There has to be 5 for a guild to survive, yes?

As the player who hoped to take over the leadership from Ravenn, could I make a suggestion for an improvement to guild leadership?
The requirement that the leader holds the guild hall, and thus has 5 free lots, works against many players and especially artisans. Those who own a lot of harvesters or factories are unlikely to have 5 free lots. So how am I expected to be able to be guild leader without buying a second account and creating another character?
It has been suggested that I let other players hold my harvesters, but that then means I am beholden to those players when I need to move them - which can be quite often.
My suggestion is that the guild hall should not require lots as such - I visualise a free allowance of lots that transfer with the leadership. This would allow ANY player to become guild leader and would surely be much more democratic. Please give this some consideration.

I posted many requests and fought very much for guild halls to be tied to the guild and thus lot free (for one guild hall per guild ONLY) but it was turned down and isn't going to happen anytime soon.

However, guild leaders do NOT have to own the guild hall. It was going to be that way but I was able to get that aspect altered so that they didn't have to hold it any longer. There is a bug with the direct transfer that still checks to make sure you have the available lots but even if you do and accept, the hall is not transfered. It's simply a bug in the system that needs to be fixed. One they are also aware of.

So, once we get the mess sorted out, I would simply need to temporarily transfer 5 of my structures to other players and take the leadership. Then take my structures back. Thanks for that info - at last we know how to handle this rather badly implented system.

That would work yes.. but it could take up to 7 days before the system would actually disband it for you to use the same name. Also, if you had more than 5 inactive people it wouldn't work and most guilds do.

Honestly, the best thing to do would be to just wait it out until its fixed. It will be one of their top priorities soon.

Yes, once the guild is under 5 people it will auto disband in a week, if everybody leaves the guild so the term had no members on it at all, active or inactive then I do not know if you would still have to wait a week or not so you could re use the name.
