Thread: Need help leaving or disbanding a guild

A friend of mine returned to the game last night. I tried to invite him into my guild only to find out he was still in his old guild. When he tried /guildremove self he was informed that he could not leave the guild because he was the guild leader.

Since everybody that was in the old guild moved on to other things many months ago he decided to try and disband the guild.

Well, we set off across the galaxy to the location of the old guild hall location and lo and behold, the guild hall was not there (no surprize there).

Does anybody have any idea how we can remove him from a ghost guild or is he forever going to be forced to exhist in the limbo of a long gone past?

Any assistance resolving this problem would be greatly appreciated.

Two possibilities that I can think of on how to solve this.

First, have him get a Guild Hall, place it, disband the guild from the terminal and problem solved. If you have to buy one long enough to place it, you can always resell it right after. Make your money back.

Second, you could try to send in a ticket to a CSR and see if they can assist and disband the guild, I'm not sure if they can but worth trying.


Between the two, I'd suggest the first option. Probably the quickest and sure method.
