Although i do like the idea of smaller groups there should be som way to set up for a bigger group for the places that need em, sometimes a group fo 8 won't cut and although yes you could use 2 or 3 full roups, this may cause some problems with loots and exp for members of both groups. Also with the 8 person groups i have noticed that often times there are ents left out of entertaining group becuase there is simply no room, kinda screws over a class that was already screwed a couple times with the cu.

Allow a SL to have groups as group members. Novice 2 groups and then each level up one of the trees add one and at master a total of 8 groups (+2 for master)

This was mentioned at several panels during Fan Fest about raid type systems.. unfortunately I never got the chance to bring it up during the PA panel and missed it when it was brought up during the GCW / PvP forums. I know it's been mentioned and talked about ways to do a multi-group system that will solve it when large guilds want to go out and hunt with more than 8 people. It's on their radar to address. Just takes time as they only have so much of it available.

What a missed opportunity. Hopefully, the community's obvious concern with this issue can get transmitted to the development team via more traditional methods.
It is good to know that they are looking into the matter though.

They're definitely looking into alternatives, as this has borked the Entertainer profession. We offered suggestions of ways to increase, so it would have to be a special group. The problem is that by letting any old entertainer to have a large group, you run the risk of people joining and then running off on their own, rather than be a band.
It's very hard for our band to perform now; we have to split into a dancer group and a musician group, and create a channel for us to all communicate costume changes, song changes and such. They were excited about exploring other ways of large groups, especially with the upcoming large battle areas.
