Thread: Leader/only active member having trouble leaving guild

Yes, there is a way to do it from the terminal under Guild Management. Guild Leadership was changed to stop a guild leader from 'abandoning' a guild and making it leaderless because it caused a number of issues with guilds when the leader either accidently quit or removed themselves. In the new system, you will need to either manually transfer leadership (through the terminal) or open up a guild election (through the terminal) and let the guild vote in a new leader.

If you're the only active member though and want to leave, I would just disband. The rest of the guild can always reform if they'd like at a later time.

For some reason I'm not getting the "disband" option off the radial menu. Our guild leader left and I got leader by elections but we all agreed to disband the guild. I had to buy a new PA hall and it won't give me the full options. Any ideas?

Check and make sure the terminal shows you as leader. If it does, goto Member Management, check your permissions and make sure you have all of them. If you don't, enable them and then disband. Or, give the permission to someone else and have them disband.

Thank you so much. Silly me for assuming me being guild leader would automatically give me those permissions.

Honestly, I assumed it did too until someone else pointed it out to me.

I am having trouble leaving my guild. Every attempt thus far has given me a message that I have to transfer the leadership. The problem is, all of the other members are on vacation for weeks/months. I think I am missing something because when I had returned from my break, the guild was leaderless. So,there has to be a way for the leader to leave, yes?

People who play once a month have their items in the guild hall, so I'd rather not pull it up.

Is there a way for me to leave the guild?

Thanks for your help!

You will have to disband the guild if there is no other player you can transfer leadership to. Also when u disband the hall will stay if it has enough maint. on it.

Not sure if there is a command for it but you can do it from the guild term.
