Thread: Guild Leadership Bug?

Last night I was out hunting with some friends and one of them asked why I wasn't in my guild any longer... I found this quite strange since I've been the leader of my guild for ages. My guild tag was gone and I could no longer use the guild terminal when I went back to check (I own the guild hall as well). Apparently I had left my guild... except noone that was in the guild had recieved an e-mail that I left. It wasn't one of those "the guild leader has not been online..." things because I play quite often. Noone has run against me in any of the guild elections either. And even if I had lost an election, I'm assuming I would still have remained inside the guild?
In any case, one of the guildies was able to re-invite me to the guild. Strangely enough I was still listed as the guild leader (although the guild title I had given myself was gone.
Could this have happened because I might've missed registering to run for one of the guild elections? Or would I simply have remained the guild leader if noone else had challenged me even if I had not registered to run? I will definitely be keeping a closer eye on these things since this was a real fiasco.

It's a strange bug that has been happening as of late but there doesn't really seem to be a cause for it. Get someone in the guild to reinvite you if they haven't already. There is a thread called "Strange Guild Terminal Bug" or something similiar where other people have had the problem. I've reported it to the Devs, but since it seems so random this will be a hard one to get fixed.

great, just what we need, aother guild devestating bug for the guilds sys. if this happens to someone, and they are unable to get recruited back in before a server reset, say good by to being guild leader.

They got rid of the annoying "Guild Elections" email but the elections are still happening! I got an email that I had won the guild leader election. . . I guess each day i an going to have to go to terminal to make sure the elections are off

I was re-elected last night again too even though there is no election. I have not checked to see if my permissions got wiped like the last time.

Has it been two full weeks since they fixed it? If not some of those elections could have started the day before or early that morning before the patch. I haven't got anything in my guild.

Okay, the damn thing is back. Just no emails. I just got two emails about it in my guild and I know I disabled the elections. reported it to the Devs again.
