Thread: Changing the guild tag

I placed a guild hall and set a guild and tag name, did not like the way the tag looked so I decided to change it. It told me that it would take up to 7 days. It has been 8 and it still has not changed.
If I disband the guild and re-create it, will I be able to use the same guild name with the new tag that I want? Or once the guild name is used it cannot be used again?

When you change the tag/name you have to change both of them or either of them, unfortunaly.

Ok so you are saying thay I have to change the guild name and the tag name?

I thik so yes, although u might have to wait a few days (up to 7) before you can use it again.

Yes, you should be able to use them both right away again. There usually isn't a problem as long as you actually disband the guild. But if for some reason you can't, wait until the next server restart or about a week and try again.

I will not have to re-deed the guild hall and put it back down will I?
I was in guild when I put the hall down originally. I left to create my guild and it would not let me, I had to re-deed it and put it back down before I could create a guild. This was not a big deal because it was empty, but it would be a pain now with all of the items that are in the hall.

It's very likely you will have to re-deed it. I'm not sure about disbanding if that will release it being tied or not, but try it. Disband and then try to recreate and see if it'll give you the option. If it doesn't, you'll need to re-deed it.
What happens is when a guild hall is placed, it's tied to whatever guild the owner is in. The only way to fix that is to re-deed it. I'm not sure if disbanding will do that automatically or not, but we'll find out soon enough and I hope it does.

I was able to disband the guild and re-create it with the same name and a different tag without having to re-deed.
