Thread: A Guild Faction System-

Heres an idea that i saw floating around,I put my own twist on it and tried to raise the bar....what do you think?-
All guild will have their own faction (like meatlump or thug) that can rise and fall. PCs who join the guild get an automatic +5000 points with that faction, while PCs who are member of a guild that is an enemy of that guild get -5000 of the enemy guilds faction. if you are not a member of an either guild you can lose faction by killing that guilds members and gain faction by killing that people who have -5000 faction with that guild. NOTE - if jimmy has +5k faction and sally has -5k faction this would NOT allow PvP. the only way you could kill them is through existing PvP (duels, Imp/Reb fights)
Another thing mentioned on the GCW forum was to allow crafters into the GCW.this includes things like having AS make ST armor and Arcitects make turrets, IMO a great idea, but we could also work this into the new guild faction system by having the turrets (make them have maintenence, not too much, and take up 1-2 lots) that are NON GCW and are guild faction oriented. you can also have merchants in your guild hire guards (made of various quality by BioEngineers) or have sentry droids. the guards would require armor/clothing and weapons and there would be maximum of 5-6 per merchant. the guards would have an upkeep (or even required to eat chef food? higher level foods make them set for more days?) these turrets and soldiers and droids would be aligned to your faction and attack people with -5000 faction or attack PCs/MOBs/NPCs currently attacking a guild member.
If this system were implemented i think it would give more game focus to the 'player made content' and be really fun too, please let me know of your thoughts about this system.
