This is specificallyfor tools and featuresthat Guildfolk knew and loved in past games, and we'd like to see a version of them here!I'll start us out with a short list including some of the most commonly missed items from the top of my head.... There will be some overlap with our existing feature request list, but these requests will have some extra oomph behind them because a precedent exists for providing these features to guilds and communitiesin other MMORPGs.
Who's online listing (that isn't dependant upon manually adding friends)
MOTD (an automaticmessage the pops up for each guild member on logging in)
Guild Alliances
Guild Ranks (with permissions defined by rank)
Guild Emblem and Colors (can be applied to banners, posessions, etc)
Officer Chat
I have some reasons to be very hopeful that the time is finally drawing near for PA developments, and I will share details when I am able!

I have a macro that shows me who is online in my guild. It simply lists all the members of the guild chat channel. So while there isn't a simple button/command to do it, there is one command that will tell you what guild members are online/in the guildchat channel.
Unless someone sends me an in-game e-mail, I'll likely forget to post it =(.

Ranks is my biggest gripe. Earth & Beyond was my first MMOPG and they had a pretty good Guild system. I think it allowed for 10 or so different ranks, and persmission set by rank. I really hope SWG adds rank, and makes it viewable within our tags (if we so wish).
For my PA would love to have something like
General, founders/leaders
Colonels, dept heads incharge of aspects of the game, crafting, healing, entertaining, pvp...
Majors, assitants to the dept heads
Captains, long time pa members
Corporals, rank and file of the PA
Privates, those sponsored but not fully in the PA
I would be happy if they just allowed us to somehow copy over the faction ranks and use those titles.

I remembered!
This macro should tell you who is online in your guild:
/chat who SWG.(Galaxy).guild.(channel number).GuildChat
You will have to plug in the number that represents your channel (and your galaxy) but that works for me!
Hope that helps.

the guild who's online, and a laston are big things that I miss. I know if I go to look at the chat channel, I'm often missing everyone. (It doesn't give me any information at all about who's logged in, it seems to be stuck a level above that information)
Those are probably my two biggest. If the laston was a listing from the guild terminal, that would be great for me. At least then we could have a clue if we were just missing guild members, or if they'd dropped the game and told no one.
