Is there any real purpose or special abilities? (I've looked through the "manual" but it's not very informative, and I've gone a few pages back on this board, but didn't see anything).

I know I set the permissions for each individual, but theoretically, I could give the same permissions to two ranks, right? So is there really any purpose other than a special title?

And...is there anything like an "officer chat" or a chat group?

They aren't dumb questions, just requested features. Right now Titles are mostly for kicks, and there is no such thing as officer chat. I am trying to be patient until the devs tell us what is and isn't possible (in the amount of time before the space expansion) regarding our long list of requests.
