I noticed something interestingin the holocron online help system. It said something about if you don't have enough members, the guild hall will dissapear along with the guild. I realize that this does not apply to the current system, but it gave me something to think about.

Was the original intent of the guild hall to be independant of the lot system? Did they change it to the lot system as a result of player requests or because they were having trouble getting it to function properly?

I was not in beta, so I don't know these answers. Perhaps there is somebody in this forum who can answer them for me.

It would be nice if they would handle it like they do the City Hall situation. A Mayor places a City Hall, but it doesn't take up his lots. Perhaps guilds could have a limit of 10-12 lots for a PA Hall a storage building and/or a decoration of their own. Heck even just a PA Hall would be an improvement tho.

While maybe stale, but why not have "canned" furnishings? A Rebel, Imp, Nuetral hall. They have appropriate furnishings and maybe let there be a certain number of vendors in it?

You pop these babies down and do nothing but throw maintenance in it.

Then maybe have a "PC" Hall that people can use as a home/guildhall like we have today?

Just a quick thought.

Not so big on the static furnishings idea myself. I agree it would be stale. I think we need to be able to decorate our guildhalls to suit the style and purpose of the guild, and have the variety that comes along with it.

Might be nice to have it work more like civic buildings in player cities do though, without costing the guildleader (or whoever placed the hall) the great majority of their lots. I would really want to have a 1 week delay on the hall poofing if membership dropped though... we'd need time to either remedy the situation, or at leastrescue the various treasures put on display in the hall...
