Problem:

My guildismostly Reb with some neutrals, and we also have a couple of Jedi. As we all know many BH's are going reb to avoid factional tef's when hunting our jedi and thus we are forced to stand by and watch helpless to assist. One tactic we took to was allowing select members of the guild to switch to Imp to counter the BH tatctics...this of course brings in the problem of not being able to assist the Imp members when they're assulted.

Solution:

It's my understanding that when the game first launched, there was some sort of group tef wherein all parties in the group could help defend one another. I think that a PA/guild TEF is exactly what is needed to counter the factional issues in assisting opposed factional guild members. This is NOT an attempt to nerf BH or directly trying to give jedi an advantage...but if a BH can get a group together...why cant we band together in our jedi's defense? Or for that matter, any member of our guild who is being attacked in PVP/PVE and not in an accepted duel.

Any comments from anyone or the PA correspondent ?

It's an interesting idea, but the abuse (like GTEF) would definately be of major concern. It would basically allow GTEF for your whole guild (if I'm understanding it correctly)

True, there would need to be somesort of check and balance...maybe just a plain old group tef instead of guild tef if it makes life easier for the devs. It's just really frustrating to watch a guildmate in trouble and not being able to assist because his/her antagonist is of a similar faction...of course my firm belief is that bh shouldn't take marks agains someone in their own faction .. but that's another can of worms.
