Thread: leader change
Will it change if the actual leader leaves the guild?

You should open a CSR ticket to confirm that, but to my knowledge it still works as the old
mayor voting system. The guild leader can only be changed by voting. After a certain period
(1 week i think), all votes are resetted to the current guild leader. If the guild leader removes
himself from the guild, it'll get destroyed.

Correct the only way to change the guild leader is to vote for another one. You need 51% of the guild to vote for 1 other person other than the leader for this to happen. The guild up dates every week, this day is the day u set you first guild hall down but it will change over time due to server re-set's i believe.

You will still need 51% of the guild to vote for 1 other person (see pervious answer) the guild will not disband if the guild leader leaves, it will just be leader less, which can be a problem if nobody else has permission to add/kick/sponser ect... This can also be annoying if the leader leaves whilst in the middle of a guild war and no bodyelse can turn it off but this only happens in extreme cases.

As Stena said, however if the leader does actually quit the guild, as long as a few votes are cast to someone they will become the leader and that's the only exception to the 51% rule.
Also, please do not open a CSR ticket for this as they will not be able to help you. They are unable to change the leadership of guilds.
For more information, there is a sticky at the top of this forum explaining how to go about changing leadership.
