Hello,

I just read the chat log of the latest dev chat on stratics.
I found this line very interesting:
"First off, I like that the 501st has become a part of the Star Wars universe. "

I didn't even know the 501st is present in SWG. I'm a member of it in real life, can anyone tell me on what server they are present? Or is that not server specific? i mean, is there only one such PA or several on different servers too etc?

I ama member in RL too (Carolina Garrison) althoughI am a rebel in SWG, go figure.

I think what he meant is that the 501st has been incorporated into the EU. I'm not sure what the actual book reference is though.

I am not aware of the 501st guild, but there very well maybe.

I'm Carolina Garrison as well. A number of us from the CG started off on Lowca and then we heard that a lot of the CA and Western Garrisons had started up guilds on Starsider so a few of our folks moved over there. I'm still on Lowca, and I know that there are at least 3 of us from Carolina still active in-game there but no formal guild.

The 501st is Vader's personal legion. They are highly trained and highly loyal. The latest incarnation of the 501st is from the new book Survivors Quest. There is an Empire of the hand that tries to recruit Mara Jade. The 501st was reborn. They wear stormie armor but are not clones or human. In fact they are non human. I think one was a Rodian.

Makes sense that the 501st would appear as NPCs...not as a guild.

Bored of the Grinding. Taking a break for an unspecified period of time.

there are a few guilds in swg that are based on the idea i guess you can say .. i have a char in a guild on bria that is a storm trooper guild ...

I think I might have been a member when it was on wanderhome, disbanded because of lack of members. Was based on rori. I think it was somewhere around spring-summer last year when the guild disbanded. Based on rori way out in the swamps.

I am in Columbia, but I must confess I have not been active. I joined in late 2003 and intended on going to some events, but 2004 was a crazy year for me and just never quite got around to it. My dad died in May and I got married in July.

Are any of you Carolina Garrison guys doing anything for the Ep. III premiere?

As I recall, there was a 501st PA, but they were a general PA, not a stormtrooper one.

When I was in it on wanderhome it was a stormtrooper guild. I was only accepted without my armor because they needed members fast or the guild would shut down (which it eventuallydid).

Well I know the 501st PA (which use the tag XFOR) was on Starsider, and I recall a rather heated discussion in one of the forums when someone was going to name their PA 501st, and wound up settling it by changing it to 502nd...I think it was Valcyn but not sure.

The "official" 501st PA website was 501stxfor.combut that's a dead link now.

While doing a search back through old posts there were apparently quite a few servers that had PAs either named 501st, or something similar.
