Our guild leader is retiring... we already have a pa up and running under the replacement character's lots... terminal works find and everything.
Problem is, we don't want to have to pledge allegiance since we won't be able to get a majority of the pa online to do this soon.
If there isn't an option to transfer leadership, I figured the easiest way was to kick several of the members leaving those who can pledge allegiance to the new leader... and reguild those kicked. If so, does the leader have to be kicked as well to get total allegiance to the new leader, or does a simple majority pledge allegiance work?
Thanks,

Allegience is the only way, and a simple majority is all you need.

Depending on your numbers, you may find disbanding the guild, deeding the hall, having the new leader place it and creating a new guild may be a viable solution. Also helps weed out the people who have quit or deleted/rerolled their characters and give more accurate results on your terminal.
