I had a great time. All of the Correspondents are very thankful that we were treated so well, fed so well, partied with so well, etc. The social experience alone was great!I know you are all more interested in the impact to the game however...

The Combat Revamp,in concept, looks to beexactly what SWG needs. Many of us experiencedmoments where it was like, "Wow, they have been listening all along!" They have just been too busy making it happen to talk much about it.It was also great to see how approachable all of the developers were. They really appreciated our presence and opinions. It was also quite obvious to me thatthe players'Sandbox feedback will play a vital role in tuning the combat changes. The scope of the combat balanceis immense, and I can see why it had to be pushed back. However, pushed back absolutely does not mean put off. I could tell that the developers were spending valuable time away from*daily* work on the combat balancefor our presence. These changes are NOT going to be cosmetic. They are more like a brain transplant than a facelift. More details will have to wait.

AS for PAs... the Combat Balance really will be focusing on the nuts and bolts of the very foundations of combat. Player Associations, including the Guildwar aspect, will not be on the table. Guildwar will likely be aviable topic during the GCW revamp. While I know guild wars are not always or even mostly factional events, things dealing with the role of PVP in the game will come later. The PVP aspects that will be worked on for the CB are ALL about how the combat professions themselves stack up against each other. This means making sure there is as much of a balance as possible regarding strengths, weaknesses, offenses, defenses, support, etc. So, PA love mustwait.

There is still some chance of a silver lining. There were break times which allowed for approaching the devs with whatever was on our minds.I mentioned sorting of member lists and confirmed what we all know, it wouldn't be that hard to fix. I mentioned the hope of maybe allowing other existing structures to be PA Halls. I mentioned the Allegience imbalance that happens with inactive members (a similar issue is plagueing cities). That doesn't mean any of these things will be addressed. The most concrete thing PAs come away with isconfirmation that Allegience votes are wiped after they are counted onPA Update day. I learned that one devwas aware of our frustration and I watched him write a note on his laptop toget our PA Update day on the Guild Management Terminal. I am not holding my breath after personally seeing how busy these guys are, a few of them couldn't part with laptops even in our presence, but I wanted you allto know I gave it a good shot. Keep in mind there were 30 of us personally harassing the Devs.

I'm looking forward to so much right now. Even if we aren't at the top of the list, seeing the critical issues of the game get addressed so thoroughly is very very encouraging for the game at large. If people are sticking with and enjoying the game, that is always good for ourguild rosters.

So changes to the current PA system are 8-12 months away? At least? I find this only good for the sony bottom line, and hopefully not even that.

justG - When I am trying to go to sleep, and I am tossing and turning at night, the things that keep me up at night are combat, and jedi, and spaceflight, and things like that. Let me tell you this, we absolutely LOVE our jobs. And we LOVE this game. We are dedicated to doing whatever we can to enhance your play experience. And it usually only takes one fan's blood to drift off...

I'm glad you were there to represent us Jas, because there isn't anyone who could have done a better job. We knew PA development time is later on after all the other changes that are upcoming, but still glad you brought up some of the smaller things we'd like to see.

Great job representing us and keep up the excellant work you do! Now we just have to wait our turn.

indeed wars will change if the fighters change. We'll sit back and see what can be/needs to be done after the combat revamp. we'll all have enough on our hands to judge when suddenly all of our people's characterschange drasticly

**grumble**

Lots of good that does guilds with leaders who quit the game... we had to beg/borrow/steal to get the former leader to log on again and quit the guild so I could take over, and he we hadn't have been able to do that, we would have had to resort to disbanding the guild and trying to reform it. 30% of our guild quit all at one swoop at the same time the leader did, and 30% are MIA... not a -fun- situation in which we try to get leadership transfered without a majority of the guild available and if we had to disband to change leadership we would have lost our guild tag.

A good alternative would be to automatically remove people whose accounts are canceled from the talley of the guild ... so if 10 people in a 50 person guild quit the game, when their account goes offline votes only have to be a majority of 40 people instead of 50...

Note, I didn't say remove them from the guild.. if they want to re-up it should allow them back in, but if they dont even have an account paid for they should not get a vote, even a default one.

sigh, lots of work ahead rebuilding my guild to be stable and something that will last... and artificial barriers to that are frustrating and annoying...

I hear the frustration Ariven. While there are some downsides to the player purge (the deletion of characters who've been canceled for 6 months) removing them from our rosters will be one of the plusses. Until then, and until better tools are given to us, we have to make it our responsibility as guild leaders to keep active rosters. Guildmail works well for this, and the tip post has a lot of promise too.

I never stop pushing for tools, and the devs know we're overdue... but overdue in a long list of gameplay aspects which are also overdue.

well I have 4-5 months for most of our losses to get removed from the roster, so thats a while. I will prolly remove them soon just to clean up the list and get a more accurate count of who is active when I need to administer things.. Luckily I think I can get the guild back into good shape without sacrificing member quality...

Teamplay and GCW is out of order, so I aprreciate devs efforts. I just refuse to believe in the difficulty to make the guild member roster in alphabetical order and adding a guild member tap next to the friendlist and things like this, which seems to be an easy monday morning job.
