Ok, myself, and the rest of the LNRRecruiting Department(im not the leader) have been working on updating our database, and would like to include an "active member" portion. I have heard that a bank tip works well for this, as whenever a member comes online, you get the email stating they recieved the 1 credit.
Well, LNR has over 200 members, and personaly: I dont have the time nor the patience to /tip Agek 1 bank; 200 times.... sooooo I devised a bank tip macro, but unfortunantly it doesnt seem to work. Here is a section:
/tip Tuconei 1 Bank;
/pause 5;
/tip Agek 1 Bank;
/pause 5;
When this runs, I get a syntax error, but the syntax itself works fine if taken out of the macro,
If anyone has any ideas on how to make this macro work, it would be greatly appreciated, or any other ideas on how to check member status would be awesome as well!

Shouldn't it be:
/tip Tuconei bank 1;
/pause 5;
/tip Agek bank 1;
/pause 5;
i.e. "bank" after the name and before the "1"

if you are familiar withmost members in your guild, I'd suggest you just send out a guildmail, and ask all members that you are unsure of, whather they are active or not. some templates keep existing months after the player has left the game, so banktipping might not be the ideal solution.
it's only 10 minutes of work to gather all the names, and... personal contact with the guild always works better

I thought a bank tip only went through when a player is online. IE: If i was to bank tip a friend, and he did not log on for a week, I would only get the notification when he logged on...

Great idea, let me know if this works.
I'd like to compile all of our info sticky threads into one big directory thread and this would be great information. I know it is a pain having to work around the game mechanics, but we can help each other out with our bright ideas.
I'm working on getting a PA Hall for TC also. The effort got a little more difficult when myprimary PCdied so I can't log on there with both accounts any more.

Ok, I can confirm that this syntax works.
I ran a short version of this macro last night and it works like a charm. The only thing thats a pain is that you have to keep hitting "OK" on the 5% bank transfer box. Its not to bad.... kinda like trying to help someone level ID the old way

I wish there was a way to use the command without the confirmation pop-up.....
Popups are annoying....

I just did a member purge within my guild & thought of several ways of doing it.
1st was the old email:
'reply by X date or you will be kicked' sort of thing. Then I realised just how many Email's I would get back (TDV had about 200 members at that point)
I then decided to utalise our website. All members have to register through me orthe guildWeb Designer. We set up an 'Active Members' Thread on our forums & I sent an email saying they had to put their name down on the thread 2 weeks before I started kicking members.
I waited the 2 weeks & copied all the names of the members from the site into my notepad in SW:G. I then cross referenced it & made a list of the non-signed up members.
Then just removed them all. Removing them doesn't take long - just like slicing really
I made 2 mistakes in all - I think - removed 2 members who had put their names down by accident, but they are rejoined now anyway.
Removed 48 members in total, so still got about 150 active members. That is the key 'Active'
Gives you a nice feeling when you realise how many people are in a PA that you started sooo long ago
Edit: Although about 30 are alts

I have 2 inactives right now. I sent an e-mail to each about two weeks ago, never got a response so changed their title yesterday (in guild terminal) to MIA SEP (Missing in Action September) ... if they do not show up in 3-6 months, I will remove them from the guild with a final e-mail offering re-admission.
We are a small guild again ... but I have learned from big-guild operations that these small problems can grow and I am trying to stay ahead of it.
