I hear that they will be cleaning out old/inactive characters and thier buildings sometime in October. Our guildhall was placed by one of these inactive characters. We have the maintenance all paid up for a good 8 years but I don't know if it will get removed when they do the clean-up.
Does anyone have any information on this clean-up and whether a building that is still being used will be removed or not?
We will end up losing well over 50million credits worth of stuff if it goes poof.

Thats the thread where TH announced the purge.
None of us have ever met the player that owns the hall. The original guild leader knew her I guess, but the original leader had to leave the game 4 months ago or so. Right now I have a ticket in to ask if a CSR can transfer the building to me. Hopefully that works and the whole moving the hall and moving it back thing can be avoided.
I recommend that all you PA leaders make sure to check who owns your structures before they go poof. If a CSR can help me with my situation I will be sure to post it here to give you PA leaders a headstart at the CSRs. I anticipate that CS will be overloaded when they announce the purge will go through later that week.

If it's inactive accounts at 6 months, set up a lot trade, place a new PA, and move all the old stuff (assuming you can, but if you can't it's of little use except as decoration anyway).
If it's inactive characters at 6 months, it might be interesting to see what happens with static lot trades...

I think it's inactive accounts. For all I know the guildhall is placed on a lot swap and the owner is still active. This is as good a time as any to fix that little problem and take the hall on myself to make sure we don't have any problems in the future.
Wanted to avoid moving all the items in the hall. I could care less about the furniture and stuff but we've got plenty of rare loot and "uber" weapons/armor on display. If I don't get a response on whether a CSR can do it for me, we will have to just temporarirly relocate the PA hall till this one poofs. If it doesn't poof because it was a lot swap with an active account, I won't be happy.

The good news is that you don't need a PA hall for an active guild. Even if this lot-swap PA building blows up you will have a guild. You just won't be able to add new members. In any case you can simple place a new PA hall in the same spot and have a new guild terminal.
