How do you guys feel about some of the newest stuff to hit Test Center? I think some of the changes will benefit Guilds, though not directly a PA issue, some of them address quite a few things that we've been experiencing as guilds and players of the game.
Player Structures
* All maintenance fees will automatically attempt to deduct from Bank accounts after the maintenance pool has been depleted. Once a structure reaches 0 hitpoints, it will flag itself as condemned instead of deleting itself. Condemned houses are not enterable, and all other structures are not usable. To uncondemn a house, simply enter it with enough money in the bank to pay the repair cost. To uncondemn all other structures, use them with enough money in the bank to pay the costs.
I think this one is a big one for us because for those of us who manage multiple houses for storage to help provide for our guilds this will let us sigh in relief if we accidently forget to pay the maintenance fees in time, we will no longer lose all the items for our guilds! What do you guys think about it?
Spawns / POI
* Krayt Dragon Population boom!
* Decreased spawn times for some POI’s
* Decreased spawn times for Dathomir Spider Cave
* Spawn System Refinements
Travel
* Decreased starport wait time to 60 seconds
* Fixed an issue where spawns were not being generated when in a speeder
I think the above two are just simply AWESOME. We all like to go as guilds and raid certain locations to take down some high end MOBs and with the way spawns were function before, I think the approvements above are a HUGE step in the right direction. More spawns, even while on bikes, and even shorter starport times for traveling between cities on the planet. A really huge step for those who don't have JTL yet.

Aye, thats what a lot of the crafters do in my guild as well. We pride ourselves in our ability to take care of our own more so than selling to others.
Another good patch note is the ability to survey while being mounted. Should make that a lot easier for finding mineral concentrations for our crafters as well.

w00t more spawns = more loot = more cool stuff I can use. Hopefully I can gather some good skill attachments soon. When is this due live?

The house maintenance thing is a fantastic idea.
Aguild member is quitting because he was away for a while with exams, didn't get to his structures in time and lost everything.
There should be a time window on condemmed structures though, otherwise I can see a version of the lost village of Durbin springing up on each planet

As stated by Tyrant on the Dev Tracker, "This is coming soon (within a couple of months). The design will go into In-Concept soon. Short version is housing will be rolled up after 6 months and characters deleted after a year of non-payment. Yes, there are a lot of other provisos and details, but please wait for the design to show up and we will take feedback on it in concept."
There is your answer, if someone leaves the game their house will still be gone after 6 months if it doesn't go before then (depending on their bank account, etc..). I'm sure if it becomes a huge issue, they'll address it sooner. I think this is a great step to help try to save people from losing all their items though.

The house payment thing will be a disaster. Cities already have too many structures that are never purged.
Implementing this as planned before they actually start deleting dormant accounts is a bad idea. They promised dormant accounts would be purged many months ago. It hasn't happen and it isn't likely to happen any time soon.

Just curious, but did you read the quote above from Tyrant? The housing changes is the first step of the purge. This is a way to ensure that people no longer accidently lose their homes due to failure to pay maint fees. Anything over 6 months (non payment) will be purged when they do it, which is the same thing that would have happened regardless. All this does is protect the people who are still playing.
Please think about the overall picture before making quick judgements. I like to keep this forum a positive place when ever possible. If you can think up better methods to protect people who accidently lose their structures without doing it the way it will be done, by all means post that suggestion and I will pass it along to them for consideration. Construcitive criticism is key if you ever want to see changes made.
