Just something that ran through my head. Wouldn't it be nice for guild leaders to have an option to have a pre-written mail that goes out to all new recruits? They could type it out and it would send it to anyone who was accepted into the guild.

It would also make it easy on the guild leader to put across any rules that he/she might want in place.

yes i love this idea, would make it much easier for guild leaders. I go and delete all the >> on the mails i send to new recruits to make it look more presentable for the new guildies and to give them the right idea about the guild.... Although messy mails are not at the top of my list atm....

the in-game notepad and external editors are nice for this feature, but in-game automated is always nicer

I think it is a great idea. There are ways to manually do it (add the welcome message to your /notepad and copy and paste it into an email you send to new members, but it would be nice if it is automatic when you are recruited. To take this one step further, when they introduce the ranking system, there should be an "introduction" message to every rank. So when you jpin a guild, you start at rank 0 and get the introduction message for that rank. For each rank you are promoted to, there is another introduction email sent. Why I feel this would be useful, when you promote someone, they would get details of what there rank can do in the guild, the expected responsibilities of holding that rank and how to acheive the next rank.

This would be awesome. I know my guild allways sends out our charter as soon as we accept a new member. This would deffinantly help our members by not requiring them to have a copy of the charter ready to go at all times.

Yes it would be fabulous if an automated email could be set up. I created a welcome mail for our guild and gave it to all the recruiters. unfortunately, you can't always rely on people to remember to send it out....would be much better if it was automated (and also that access could be given to someone other than the guild leader to update it)
