Jas, do you know if any/all characters deleted by the character purge in oct. will result in them being removed from a PA roster? I'm hoping so since we've been meaning to clean house recently and can easily just wait for the game to do it for us.

My first guess is yes, because deleted characters are removed from the roster and the purge will in effect do a mass deletion. I will double check.
However, it is important to note that the purge wipe won't do the job 100%. There are several scenarios in which a member could be inactive, but with an active account. Perhaps they went to play on a different server... perhaps they quit SWG but still have 5 more months left of their account. There are many members with active accounts who would be unavailable for the purposes of an Allegience vote.

Good thoughts there. I too would like to know if this will hopefully clean up my guild roster.
Personally my guess is no - that it will not effect it at all. Reason I say this is I have friends in my guild that have deleted their characters without leaving guild and created new characters and how we see both of their names in the roster.
I do wish the guild system would at least purge characters that no longer physically exist. That would come in handy.
