Ok I know alot of you have seen these "our leader left and we need a new one" threads. This is something like that but not quite, you see I am the guild leader and I will be leaving, however i'd like to make one of my fellow guild members leader. Is there anyway to do this besides the set alligence thing?

There are some reports that if you have just a few members declare allegience for the new leader, then you leave the guild, leadership will transfer to this new person without needing over 50% of your members to declare allegience. I haven't confirmed this myself but it makes sense.

We tried having the current guild leader leave the guild. We had transferred the PA Hall to the person we wanted to make the leader and had several people vote for her before hand. All that happened was that no one was the guild leader and no one could change permissions. The guild leader automatically became the leader again when he rejoined.

If it didn't work having them leaving and the new person having a few votes (and you did give it time to update during the update cycle) then you'll have to set your allegiance, it'll be the only way to transfer it now.
