Thread: Possible for current guild leader to request guild leadership xfer to another guildy?
We found the idea of sending out a guild letter explaining why we were kicking people and how to get back in the guild here: Clicky We sent the letter before the mass kicking began. The guild leadership transfer was much easier after that.

We'd like to transfer leadership from one member to another. The guild is really old and not enough people still play to get the 50% needed to reassign leadership. Is it possible for the current leader to request the guild be transferred to a new leader? Our leader is moving on to another game for a while and we want to make sure that an active player can still setup guild rights and such.
Unfortunately, it is not possible to simply transfer the leadership to another person at will. We have asked for a command that would allow this, but for the time being it is not in game. The only way to transfer leadership to another person is through the allegiance process which does require the 51% of the votes. However, there is a work around that you can try to use as long as your leader has not yet left the game.
If he leaves the guild via /guildremove and then you have a few people for you after he leaves, then on the next PA update it will move you to the leader position and you can readd him to the game and you should remain leader. Otherwise, you'll have to remove people via kicking to make sure you can vote 51%. It should be noted that a CSR can't help you switch guild leaders either, so please don't waste your or their time asking.
For more info on it, find my guide to setting allegiance. It shoudl be on the first or second page until Jas gets the mods to resticky the important threads.
